• A one-year extension on the deal, which now runs through the spring of 2030
• An increase of $1 million annually in salary
• A pay bump across the board for the Michigan men's basketball staff
• A big increase investment for program resources, including Michigan's NIL war chest
• A buyout that will rise to $7.5 million

This contract still sucks-  3 mil to 4 mil, one extra year, and a 7.5 mil buyout?!?!

When’s the last time Indiana has had the best tactician on the sideline? Prime Knight? McCollum would be the very best X’s & O’s coach 9.9 times out of 10. 
 

He’s got a chance to tie Drake’s single season wins record, in year 1 of Division 1, with FOUR D2 transfers starting. 

He’s not a flash in the pan. He dominates everywhere he goes. Why would that change at all place where he will have no problems getting talent? 
 

We missed on Stevens and May? Don’t miss on this no brainer. And he is a no brainer. We are all going to find out in short order. 
 

What would everyone’s position have been in TJ Otz prior to his immediate succes at ISU?

Josh Schertz turned Indiana State around in a couple years.  Indiana State played an exciting style of basketball and played hard.  He’s a baldy and give him NIL money.  He is a player’s coach.  Plus he’s smart.

The fact that it’s paltry just speaks to the fact he was never leaving Michigan and the original buyout wasn’t so he could bolt and save IU money like I tried saying over and over. Based on his own statement, this seems like it was literally just to pay lip service to an extension so the media would stfu about him to IU. Our chance was last season, we blew it, and we’ve got 2000 pages of FMW that says we were all right for thinking it.
