He was pretty open in his last interview on DD.  He said basically the entire staff was asleep at the wheel and TJD was the only one who cared about anything.

The whole staff got permasnooze from Armond Hill? That would explain a lot.

He said you have to call him but nothing about if he would take it

My thing is if all of this stuff is happening with Stevens then why has none of the national media caught wind of it. You would think a Rothstein or Goodman would be all over it.

Goodman laughed at the thought of Stevens even listening to IU the last go around.  Months later he reported what pretty much everyone else knew, that IU had offered him 7 years, $70 million.  Goodman is really just an opinion guy, not an insider.

Yesterday was first and goal from the 2. Today 2nd and goal from the 2 (not inside info just a joke how every day that passes without a yes makes me nervous )

You're wrong.

Every day, get one more yard. Take on faith, take it to the heart.  The Waiting is the hardest part.  :)

Woodson can do whatever he wants. But it's hard to feel sorry for him now that the shoe is on the other foot regarding negative articles.

Who is feeling sorry for him?  Seems everyone on here is pretty much in a agreement that he stunk as a head coach and needed to go

I wonder if he considered himself to be asleep at the wheel as well.  It wasn't exactly a secret that he wasn't the most active guy in terms of coaching players during games.  Pretty much separated himself on the bench.

They think all IU fans that believe in it are crazy. (Probably true). And especially for Rothstein he looks down on the IU job heavily.

He doesn't want to be the GM. A GM is something he would want if he is even going to considered getting back into coaching. He hated recruiting at the end of his tenure at Butler.

Yeah, I don't see the GM absolving the Head Coach of recruiting.  I see a true GM organizing a staff of player personnel people to review and monitor all college and HS players on their board.   The head coach would still get to decide what players he will want/need -- fit is still important.  GM will hand him a list and deal with the money.  Coach is still going to have to hit the gyms and schmooze the players.  But that's just my idea.

Maybe cause he was "iced out?"

It's perfectly fine that Fife was let go. It was a bad matchup with Woodson and it was pretty obvious from the start it wasn't going to work out with those 2. But the smear campaign was complete bs. I don't blame it all on Woodson. It was an another assistant that was likely the one feeding Rabjohns the bs for his article. There is one guy on that staff that has no morals.

I assume that’s Ya? He seems like a confrontational hot head

Something I hadn't thought of until now. There is a comparison to Ben McCollum, and it isn't Curt Cignetti. It's Bruce Pearl. Both spent years winning big at the D2 level, before going to the mid majors and winning there, before getting a P4 job and immediately winning. The comparison is there, just a matter of if McCollum is capable of the same jump.

If you are an athletic Director with one shot to bring back national relevancy to a blue blood program, I doubt he is in your top five or six. Would you be willing to bet millions of dollars in your salary on him?

If for whatever reason something happens where we don't sign Brad but sign dusty I would probably respond with a FG post or a TD but missed extra points haha

Nah - Brad is a TD with successful 2 point conversion (or more if it were a rule).  Dusty is just a TD and traditional kick for the extra point. I REALLY hope it doesn't need to go beyond those options.
