Everyone gets 4 years but I'd say 50%. Missing may last year will bite us probably.

The only reason that makes any sense to me why Dolson didn’t scoop up May would be because he must’ve had BS in the pipe line…anything else seems like an epic failure.

Well, look at Woodson. He's make obvious coaching blunders. He's been incredibly slow to make adjustments. He's a crap recruiter. Yet, NIL basically bought him ample raw talent. IU's resources are the only reason that Woodson isn't 17th in the B1G right now.

Woodson is actually a great example of NIL buying a terrible coach the chance to be in contention to make the tourney this year.

12th highest paid coach in the country. Imagine Woodson trying to build a team without nil like crean had to do.

Maybe May just wanted to stay at UM or maybe he never wanted the IU job.

That is what I believed at first as well. When the Steven's stuff really ramped up I believed it because it is the only thing that made sense. To me dolson had conversations last year and Steven's said he would come if given time. Dolson decided to keep woodson and pass on dusty to wait for Steven's. Now that the Steven's stuff has pretty much been curb stomped into the ground i am realizing this is just another iu epic blunder. I admire the posters who say they aren't worried cause they know we are going to get a great coach. Lol this is iu we are probably not going to hire a great coach! Imo we will probably downgrade again and be trying to debate who was worse. Davis crean Archie woodson or bronwell

We are Hoosiers fans, all of us. We understand your pessimistic opinion because of the last 25 years of this program. We are all conditioned to the let downs and disappointment. 

However, I am one of those you mentioned who believe we are going to get a good coach. The landscape has changed in basketball and this job has never looked more appealing than it is right now. That's why I have hope and I believe there certainly isn't a reason to work yourself up before any announcement have been made. 

That being said, if we come out on the other side with Darrin Horn or Andy Enfield, I will join you in disappointment. 

 

P.S. I think BS is very much in play.

I agree with this and I hope it’s not true. Like I said, I hope it is Brad Stevens because that’s the only thing that makes sense because Dusty May was the perfect hire for IU last year.

It's IU. A coach can't just prove they're not good enough, they need time to make a complete mess of things. That's part of the process.
