I think this is weird considering the line of work these guys are in. You have to think Brad Stevens talk on the boards would drive up clicks and subscriptions so it makes no logical sense that he is shutting it down and forbidding it.

Oh it’s a dumpster fire over at Peegs they are getting so testy because he is giving them nothing but shooting down even the slightest of rumors, and continues to remain vague because he has no new info . His sources are agents so what else can he say besides the agents are floating there guys names ( because they wants raises and more NIL cash ) clear he and his little cronie Eric are anxious because they have no more sources inside the actual IU athletic department.

Rabs has turned into nothing more than clickbait.  He very rarely has anything of substance that can't be found elsewhere.  And this has been going on for the past 5+ years.

Yes, I keep peaking over there and seeing that. They have nothing. Soft chatter he keeps saying. Maybe it really is that quiet, if it is that might be kind of scary.

1.  If Rabjohns has heard that it definitely isn't Stevens, he would try to shoot down rumors.

2.  It's not a secret that Rabjohns has lost inside information from IU and if he wanted to get back in good graces with the next staff, it would make sense that if it were Stevens that he wouldn't be leaking that information.  Getting temporary clickbait doesn't trump long term access.

3.  If Rabjohns has no clue, he isn't going to say he doesn't have a clue.  He'd just parrot what other outlets said.

Based on this, either Rabjohns believes that it isn't Stevens or believes it is Stevens but wants access or he doesn't have a clue whether it is or isn't Stevens.

That might have been the case, seems like that is slanted a little from a trustee's side of things. But let's hope it is different this time. I do know that there were two main people on the list this time with others listed. But as I say I've been wrong before.

It certainly does seem that if IU is going after Stevens that they are doing it much earlier than they did last go around.  Certainly is going to be time to pivot if it's not him.

Do you think it’s possible the main thing here with the silence and lack of firmer public ‘no’ is simply because Stevens hasn’t told Dolson no? If Dolson hasn’t been told no, there’s no reason to think he’s moved on to sitting coaches, hence, little to no agent noise leaking out to insiders.

I'm nowhere near an insider, but who knows... I will say that the lack of anything remotely concrete has to be a good sign for everyone involved... if loose lips sink ships, then tight lips makes the fanbase anxious... wanting to hear something vs having the faith that no news is good news is a tough place to be, am I right?

The one thing I don't understand is if everything worked out the way people say it did. On Feb 14 Brad said no thanks. Then wouldn't have Scott been on the phone with Dusty's agent that afternoon saying he has big money coming for your client as soon as the season is over since we all know he was the #2 choice. I don't care if his family loves Michigan or not, (don't believe it) we could have given him a much better raise than the 1 million he got with the extension.
