Pretty sure it was a murder, and Drew took over after the murder when the program was in shambles.

I don't think anyone stated his religious preferences were a reason not to hire him. Rather, he and his family are in a likely optimal spot at Baylor and *they* might not want to go to IU.

The only complaint against Drew is the loosely factual scenario where he (maybe?) threatened Hanner Parea with deportation if he didn't go to Baylor.

I felt very good when they basically stated it would be a non-sensical hire based on resume unless they got turned down by everybody else they were after. 

Galen was also VERY down on McCollum, which I get the reasoning for.  I'd still be way higher on McCollum than I would be Brownell.

It was.  Coach was Dave Bliss and he attempted to frame the victim after his death to make it look like the murdered player was a drug dealer.  try to avoid the press looking at Bliss’ actions of paying players.
