If you go by the theory that Pearl could just bring a bunch of his guys and recruits over, it’d have to be him. I might go with May second given his crazy turn around and I don’t think I would’ve said that a month ago. 
 

I doubt Beard would make it 5 years but I’ll give him a slight nod over Cronin. Crean bringing up the rear.

It’s important to distinguish between rumor & conjecture - there has been a lot of conjecture surrounding other candidates, but have there been rumors relative anyone other than BS?

This is probably a stupid question, but if IU is interested in Dusty May, what is the process? Do they have to ask Michigan for permission to talk to him, is May free to just meet and discuss job openings without informing anyone, or is there an unwritten code of ethics that schools normally follow? Just curious if there is a procedure.

I would guess we talk to his agent first to make sure there is interest. Once we have done that, discuss some numbers, after that we better notify Michigan we are coming for their guy. Just how I'm guessing it works

I'm glad the announcement was made.  If not, I would have been worried that the team would figure it out on their own, make a run and make the tournament and somehow save Woodson's job.  The early announcement allows me to root for the team knowing Woodson is gone after the season.
