OKHOOSIER Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 I would not have thought Few possible until the yeagley bomb, but now that it is out I think my list is, 1.Brad 2.Mark Few (anyone thinking this would not be an absolute grand slam and nuclear bomb across the bow of CBB is huffing paint) 3. Drew, Scott 4. Dusty 5. The field. thebigweave, J34, Shoes_N_Shorts and 2 others 5
Home Jersey Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Comes down to Isiah Thomas or Randy Wittman IMO. tyappleg, LamarCheeks and J34 3

Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 1. Brad Stevens 2. Chris Beard 3. Dusty May 4. Ben McCollum Mark Few get hinted is weird and would melt brains(including mine). I don't think it would make it past #2 if Dolson had this list. Mopladysman and kottke 2
JaybobHoosier Posted February 7, 2025 Author Posted February 7, 2025 Wonder how many pages we can accomplish in a month to 2 month time frame….. Let’s go! Would love to get Stevens, but idk, just feel like it’s the same as last time. Really hope I’m wrong and we get him. Behind him, would easily take Few, Pearl, or May. I can get behind Beard if the administration can, even though I question if he keeps his nose clean for 10-15+ years. Please, for the love of God, get it right this time!!!! Unexpectedflash Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Is there any specific reason people are brining up buzz? I think he’s a good coach but he’s also from Texas making 4.5 million a year already so I’m not sure why he’d leave

He is one of the best coaches in the game. BUT I find it very unlikely that a university that fired a historic coach due to multiple reports of physical violence would be ok bringing on a coach with a history of physical violence. Add in the alleged heavy alcohol use (which Kevin Wilson also had and the university did not care for), and it seems like a very long shot. Man, we were a really bad football team if you consider Wilson historic. BtownStrength 1
IUHAHN81 Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Don't worry my brethren, the WHITE WHALE is circling! At least that's what I'm sticking with until I hear otherwise! Muskie plays the four 1
Shoes_N_Shorts Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Stevens Drew May Cronin McCollum I’ll be surprised if it’s not one of these guys.

In my 50 years of life I never thought I would say this...but if it's Drew I instantly become a fan of another school. I'm sure he would do fine, but the stories I've heard about that guy make my skin crawl. Quite possibly the biggest hypocrite in the lower 48. mamasa 1

I posed this question to the mods that follow the national scene more closely than I do: who is the most mid “press conference” hire that you feel comfortable saying would succeed at IU? It’s a pretty broad question that had a few answers, but was just a discussion piece. Nothing that came from intel. NashvilleHoosier 1
Trish Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 We’re so BACK! I’ve been crying for a coaching search ever seen Dolson announced Woodson was the new head coach. What a complete waste of four years for this Indiana program. Nonetheless, here we are. These are the candidates I think you have to pursue. 1. Stevens 2. Wright 3. May 4. Pearl 5. Beard Beard, with his history, I just don’t buy it. Yes, he’s a hell of a coach. But I just don’t know if Indiana wants that risk. They got rid of Kevin Wilson quickly for even lesser circumstances. I don’t think we can take a shot of an up and coming coach, that’s just to risky at this point. It needs be a proven winner. Obviously Brad and Jay are “longshots”, but you have to make them so no with your best offer. At the end of the day, I think Brad finally comes home and the basketball program is finally saved.
