Since we yet again aren’t in the tournament should someone create a bracket with potential coaches so we can at least participate in bracket challenge

Stevens doesn't have to wait until June to leave Boston if he wants this job. Transition times for jobs don't always align. We either wait or he leaves early...

And won as a head guy. Fife did OK at IPFW and people try to twist themselves into a pretzel finding reasons to justify why he’s ready for this job. This job would eat him alive, just like it did Archie Miller (who I think is much better than Fife).

It also was an edit to a previous version that said he wants to coach IU.

@Chris007 I'm curious, what was the final straw for Dolson? Would Archie have been back if we hadn't finished on a six game losing streak? Or was he gone regardless if we missed the tournament this year?

I agree and thinking that the timing of this seems to indicate either Brad Stevens (with an agreement in place) or John Belein and Thad Matta since they are currently available and desirable.

Let’s say Stevens stays in the NBA and we’re getting a current college coach. Do we want him to flame out early so we can go ahead and get him or make a decent run to continue to build his credibility?

Of course, I'm a nobody out there regarding information.  I guess my point was there seemed to be fewer wild rumors this go around than the last couple.   Always appreciate the info you do bring though!

I just posted everything I know on the other thread. But I think he was done in after the 4 game losing streak, then 5 and 6 were the cherry on top

This hire is too important for Fife at this time.......if Belein is the hire bring him in as your top assistant for the potential handoff in the 6-8 years.
