This is my thought as well. “The guy” just happens to be someone who barely missed the tourney so we can land him now? Everything about the Devries stuff reads like an agent doing right by his client.

Billy D, Jay, or Tony B. My conspiracy theory for Wright to IU is the fact he’s not announcing any tournament games for cbs which seems odd since he’s usually doing big games during the season.

Save a Brad Stevens hire, no one is going to unite this fan base or win the press conference.  Bitching has become so much of some IU fans identity over the past 10 years they don’t know what to do with themselves without having something to be negative about.  The program has not come close to the success all of us would like to see in a long time, but how you go about conducting yourself and behavior is a choice.  If it is DeVries, I will support him until or unless he gives us reason not to.  Whomever the hire is was vetted and the product of what I can only assume was a comprehensive process and search.

Only 1 thing will unite fans going forward and that is to win.
