Northern Kentucky seems like the better landing spot
-
Think you went the wrong way there. $4.4mm in Philly = about 3mm in Bloomington

Wasn't his program caught up in the same recruiting scandal as Auburn and AZ? Yet no one seems to want Pearl or Drew because of past recruiting issues??
-
Think his buyout is $12.6mm. Then need to probably pay him $5mm a year
-
Think he takes Marquette. He went to Jesuit HS I believe, currently coaches at a Jesuit school, wouldn’t HAVE to move family, could dominate the conference, has great facilities, less pressure, and can get paid.
-
He is most likely going to Marquette
-
Maybe those guys are fallback options? Still chance we have to “fallback”??
-
Don’t we want transfer players that are good enough to ply for those Sweet 16? Those players are waiting to see what their options are
-
Not necessarily
-
Who knew Trayce would be wiser than most adults on IU message boards ??
-
And the Booster has to like said coach as much as BtownBanners does :). Boosters obviously liked Stevens but we don't know who else??
-
Why because you say so?? Just more speculation on this board
-
Are we losing them? They still may come back. It would be silly for them to not explore all options given the uncertainty. why do we as a fan base overreact to everything??
-
Baylor has plenty of booster money to pay IF they think he is worth it? He may/may not come for other reasons
-
What IF that big checkbook was ONLY for Stevens? We don’t know the circumstances Dolson is working under.
-
My "educated" guess is we inquired about the opening. Matta said he was intrigued but didn't feel like he could "physically" handle the demands of the job. "Rumors" spread he failed a physical NOT that he politely turned us down due to fact he didn't feel like he could put 100+% into the position.
-
Whoever we hire (assuming not a Stevens, Beard, Oats, Musselman etc.), I hope Dolson offers a contract that allows IU to move on from the gamble IF necessary. You can always renegotiate higher pay/buyout later after they have proven themselves.
-
Throw enough crap on a wall. Hope one sticks
-
Agree...booster(s) probably willing to pony up some cash for a Stevens...but not for someone less proven.
-
Both have head coaching experience
-
by team i meant spouse, agent, agents firm etc...not necessarily a basketball team :)
-
Wouldn't the "new" coach and his team know as well??
-
I am hoping this guy's definition of HOME RUN and my definition are the same...
-
Wouldn't call that a HomeRun
