Texas AM is leading tomorrow anyways and was supposed to leave today. They had a plane problem earlier, but that flight is most likely a nothing burger

I agree with you. Obviously, Chris Collins is not a sexy choice, but considering the level of talent he's been forced to work with, there are a few positive things. (1) He is a pretty good motivator (2) His teams play hard nosed defense because that's pretty much the only way he can win (3) From offensive standpoint, Collins seems to utilize his players' talents well and he can tweak based on what he's got. 

With that said, it's kind of a mystery why he hasn't attracted job offers.

And he played for, and coached with one of the greatest coaches ever. He knows what talent looks like up close. Plus, he has good bloodlines. His dad could coach. And play. And a great analyst/color commentator. CC knows his stuff. And this job wouldn't scare him. 

PS- Not advocating for him, just a really fun guy to watch coach. Always outmatched,  but rarely out coached.

Ehh, if he was alone, maybe.  But other people with credible sources have heard the same.  We'll see.  It's certainly possible it's not done, but a lot smoke either way.

His son is at Notre Dame (basketball walk-on)... his daughter is still in HS.

I think we have a better chance at landing Stevens or Donovan (very low) than we do Jay Wright.  I don't see anyway that is at all factual.

The IUBB subreddit is useless for anything of this type. No one who is truly an "insider" posts there. Typically you just come across regurgitations of what's been rumored elsewhere.

FWIW Coaching Changes on twitter said a source told him A&Ms AD was putting together a basketball coaches short list Incase Buzz decided to dip . Believed there was a chance this cycle he might . Not saying it as it relates to IU though . I don’t think it’s him either
