Beard: personal issues make him a complete non-starter. Wade: we are not hiring a guy who has three months left on a show cause. Golden: already has a better job at a much better program in a better conference. Silat Player, Jeff Flabjohns, go iu bb and 4 others 7

We are not in talks to hire away the coach of the #1 overall seed lol. No way man.

Sent from my SM-S901U using BtownBanners mobile app Agreed. Florida is a better job than IU right now. Why would he leave? They have SEC money. They're in Gainesville, which is a great college town. It's warm year-round. The coeds are great looking there, which may <allegedly> be important to Golden, given his <alleged> past history. And he's already got a winning program. He would have zero reason to leave. Stuhoo, Demo, Class of '66 Old Fart and 3 others 5 1
Hoosier Hobby Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Is the WVU AD CBM’s former AD? Remarkable to me, if so.

DeVries doesn't provide that satisfaction. He doesn’t provide that satisfaction because he hasn’t really accomplished anything that would be noteworthy at IU. That’s also what makes him not an A+. This board and many other places were filled with people saying the same about Archie. You’d think they’d learn their lesson. That doesn’t mean Devries isn’t the right man for the job. He certainly could be. Home Jersey 1

Has anybody paid any attention to any of my posts for crying out loud? I've said McCollum vs DeVries for a week now LOL Well despite how delusional some (most) of us are, both of those names didnt get us out of bed a month ago. Frankly, it’s going to take a while for either of those names to get the general fan base excited. Dolson hiring another mid major is a choice. Chris007 1

Very well could have left Iowa City today wanting the Iowa job but left without signing a contract and is leveraging the IU job to get Iowa to up the ante, but Iowa isn’t going to be able to get into a bidding war, let alone win one. I don't know, I've heard Ashton Kutcher is ready to dish out some major cash for DeVries if needed..

Popular Post Sobchak_Security Posted March 18 Popular Post Posted March 18 Curry Sage Spaces tonight says he’s hearing McCollum met with Iowa this weekend and couldn’t agree to terms because of NIL but he may end up taking it anyway. Sounds like in general the NIL situation for men’s basketball is a mess at Iowa. Brownell to IU is out. Curry seems to think it is either DeVries or a higher caliber (Stevens/May/Wade) for IU. He doesn’t seem certain at all…just trying to connect dots. “Inclinations” as he called it. He has a trusted sources that it’s not McCollum, Brownell or McDermott for IU but it is done. If not DeVries….he thinks it’s someone “really f*cking big” Ctf9, pumpfake, thebigweave and 18 others 17 4
Adillac Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Archie Miller had a better resume before IU than Devries has right now. That’s the hesitancy I have and others- the guy has done very well at Drake for 6 years where he finished 1st in conference once. Still, a good record but not great. I think IU can do and should demand a better candidate. I dont think that means we have to unrealistic expectations (Stevens, Donovan, Drew, TJ, May)… I think McCollum is a more compelling candidate and I also think Brownell is a better candidate than Devries.
