I hate to break it to YOU but if Dolson is waiting to start the search AFTER the tournament, we are in big trouble.....Just shutdown the program while everyone else eats from the portal....sorry, its already in progress and most likely ending soon...

Not quite Breaking Bad set in the desert, but I’ll give you credit for a classic. IU’s AD has the IT department prevent him from asking Google who he should hire because A) that’s how he really wants to conduct the search, and B) he just can’t control himself

I heard he’s waiting until summer as a courtesy to all the other schools, so those schools can get the coaches they want and get all the players out of the portal they need.  I heard Dolson has targeted some Indy high school coaches to start talking to in June.  I suspect if we don’t hear anything by July 4, it will likely be a middle school coach.  Fire Dolson.

Kinda funny how last night, it was -- Whew! No Brad Brownell. 

Today, we're back to -- OMG! It's gonna be Brad Brownell. 

I absolutely have no idea who our next coach will be. But I do think this: No one coach will make entirely everyone happy (maybe not even BS), and while Dolson knows winning games is more important than winning the press conference, he also knows that getting as much of the fan base back into the fold as possible will be critical.

I just cannot imagine when the time comes for the presser, he's gonna say, "Hey everyone -- here's our new coach. We're really excited about him joining our IU family" -- and then trot out Brad Brownell.

I think his hint it he thinks shams will leak it today. He has been saying Monday for a while but hasn't specified what:)

I think the scepticism is fair.  However, just like @TrueHoosier62 said earlier, It feels like the week before Christmas and one of the presents under the tree resembles a PS5 box.  Not saying it is a PS5 but there's nothing wrong with hoping

I wondered if the "let the lid off later in the week" implied after the tournament had started and we were all wondering why no announcement yet, he would come back and give us more hints or details.
