News today is suggesting Will Wade and NC State are having a second meeting and close to closing the deal.

McCollum, Wade, etc are going to take other jobs because they’ve been notified they’re no longer candidates?

McCollum to Iowa looks very likely. I don't think they'd be willing to spend ~$4.5M on buying out DeVries then pay him more than $3M salary and still have money for basketball NIL. McCollum will be a cheap, great hire for them. He talked a lot about it being important for him that he goes somewhere that he can place first in the conference and NIL being a big part of that.

Sad day when even the hottest mid-major coach decides he can win bigger at Iowa than Indiana, lol.

Our NIL does not make us an elite job. Nobody wants the headache of being here. IUBB is the new IUFB.

Good thing it's easy enough to get excited for Huss or Calhoun. I'd bet on either of those two at the moment.

If we hire Brad Brownell, it'll be very hard to be optimistic about IU basketball. I'm not one of the "I'm done with IU if we blah blah". I'll still root for my guys but damn, this program is not serious if that comes to life.

Who is it this time that's in Scott Dolson's ear saying "you gotta check out Brad Brownell, man. Trust me" ? What has Brad Brownell done to even be in this conversation? What a deflating hire that would be.

It has been as I reported last night that the Goodman tweet was fake news. Also confirmed by RTZ.

My fault trish didnt you know were like that! mccollums agent deserves a raise for how he handled this.

We know that people are using the IU opening as a springboard to other jobs and/or raises at their current gig.

My thoughts are...if these other jobs (NC State, Iowa, etc) can make the moves seemingly so quickly*, why isn't Indiana?

Signs, to me, point to the realistic opinion that we have our guy, whomever it may be

*this is from an outsiders opinion.  I realize that I know very little in terms of timeframe/timetables

You and I seem to align pretty closely on these mid major types. Just curious though on your thoughts regarding Schertz? That seems to be one I'm higher on than you.

Man, I’ll bet you are the hit at parties. We will never know if McCollum would rather go to Iowa because he won’t be offered the IU job. These flavor of the day hysterics are…..hysterical.

The handwringing over something that hasn't even happened is what's sad.
