Rabby: I will follow up with this: I'm not gonna get over my skis just yet. I think things are moving along the path, but I don't think anything is set in stone at this point in time.

This means absolutely f*cking nothing.

Thanks Rabby. LOL

I’d love for you to be right. However, I don’t think the athletic department would go into the effort to create these false narratives. If it was done, Dolson could legitimately not do a think until it was ready to be announced.

I’d put my money on McCollum with all of the smoke surrounding him.

Sounds good to me

The cig love is over the top based on one season. This year's schedule is much harder. This year is his true test. They will say he isn't tom allen but the Allen love was the same after the covid year.

Tom Allen was a mediocre HS head coach at Ben Davis. He’s a very good DC

But what has Dolson done? Answered a question about someone he interviewed?

I think if Rabby is saying there’s a ton of smoke behind McCollum then that’s likely the case. He doesn’t gamble much with this stuff.

An update on would-be hires of weeks past:

Happy enough that it doesn't seem to be Drew.

McDermott isn't looking too good.

Otz got got.

Buzz too.

Beard pulled out a win.

Schertz's squad looked good.

So did the Pitinos.

Lot of action this time of year!

Does the IU Media School have a class in vague nonsense?

Ya know , on the other hand….Iowa gig would look much better to a guy like McCollum IF he wanted to hit the ground running with a serviceable roster of returning players and hot recruits coming in. That would be the easiest way for him to move up. I wonder if the DeVries talk is just a smokescreen for bringing in BM?  Just my thoughts.

That is total garbage about McCollum needing coordinators. He has been a HC for 15 years and basketball isn't that hard so if you can coach you can do it at any level. Also John Beilein hired an assistant to take over his defense because their defense wasn't good. So if a great coach like that hires a coordinator so to me that isn't a bad thing.

What he would need some help with is the NIL and the portal which is why you need to hire a GM. I would say that no matter who the coach is because it is to much work for the HC.
