I can’t help that my first reaction is meh which I feel will be common amongst our fans.

At least it’s not Brownell which would’ve been straight disappointment. But something like Lloyd/McDermott/Drew would’ve ingested a fun energy this program needs.

Nonetheless gonna root hard for him and at least can see the vision that it could work out really well for us.

I would absolutely be thrilled if it was that at this point.  That’s where my hope is centered for the remainder of this search.

Problem is, does his style of play translate to high major basketball? We just rid of an old man that played slowed and shot a low number of 3’s per game.

Honestly less excited than I was for the Woodson hire and that’s saying a lot because I hated that hire too. Slow paced boring offense and zero clue the athleticism that will be needed to win at this level.  He’s in for the rudest of awakenings.  Most coaches don’t need rebuilding phases in the portal era but McCollum is gonna need a few learn the ropes seasons.  Indiana isn’t the place to do that.  F Me again. 

Slow down wayne. Thankfully this hasn't happened yet.

We will find out about us being a football school this year. Dolson’s career will indeed be on the line here.

you can coach, then you can coach. And as for recruiting, the pool of players one can recruit in D2 are not for most part D1 level players, they’re not going to go d2. so if his players were good enough to win like he has then he must recruit pretty well from the available pool. So why do we think all of sudden he won’t be able to recruit from the available D1 pool of talent? Not advocating, have no horse in this race but I could get behind him. He just wins.

McDermott is who I am holding out hope for.  But if it’s not him, I would happily take McCollum over Brownell.

By all accounts he seems like a brilliant coach that can adjust his play to his roster. 

I believe it was mentioned at some point that his D2 teams played a faster pace.

All the tweet says is that he’s one of the top candidates. I will say if it’s not Stevens it’ll be him. 

Goodman is just setting it up so when Iowa hires him Saturday, he can drag IU through the mud.

With the interest we have, if that happened it would be one of if not the most embarrassing thing to happen to the bball program in a long time.  If that wouldn’t be rock bottom, I hope I am not alive to see it.  But I have a feeling these back channel messages going back and forth are getting their points across.

If we didn’t fire Woodson mid season he may have been back next year.
