I’ll continue to say it until I’m blue in the face.  IU is not going to hire Brad Brownell.  What a slap in the face that would be to fans.

I think my issue is Goodman has now recommended three people for the job to get us back to relevance. It’s like those 247 recruiting analyst who change their pick a day before a commitment.

I think Beard would instill a toughness factor in an IU squad that hasn’t been seen in a long time. It’s a quality that is almost impossible to measure or quantify, but it’s certainly observable.

Goodman backing up what I said Thursday. The fan wish list was only that - a fan wish list. The job isn’t what fans think it is. 
 

 For what it’s worth, had not heard anything about Beard being a real candidate as of mid last week.

With Beard, assuming he can keep his nose clean, he’d make the tournament most years but think you’d see a wide variance in conference finishes on a year to year basis. He’s barely over .500 in-conference at the P5 level.

It’s probably also a lot easier to recruit at IU than Ole Miss.
