I'm still not a fan due to how the fanbase was characterized during his recruitment, but of course you can't turn him down if you're IU and he wants to come. It'd be silly to tell him thanks but no thanks. With some of the other options off the board I'm cool with bringing him on if it's a real possibility.

He's gotta learn to defend without fouling, but his per 40 stats last year of 17.5 pts and 11.5 rebounds are pretty darn good.

He's gotta learn to defend without fouling, but his per 40 stats last year of 17.5 pts and 11.5 rebounds are pretty darn good.

I'm well aware of his numbers. My point was those who don't want him were using field goal percentages and other stats to justify their position. Those who want him were using other stats to justify their position.
Personally, until he actually enters the portal, the point is moot. He is still a Wildcat. If he enters the portal, I'd take him if he wants to come. Cal plays favorites with his teams. I've read on boards and tweets many Kensucky fans saying this very thing. It's why Dontae Allen didn't get much playing time early on even though he was their best shooter. Kb wasn't one in my opinion, which is why some of his numbers don't look great. We shall see

I'd take Keion Brooks and Xavier Johnson all day. Johnson, Phinisee, Lander, Leal can cover that 1 and 2 spots just fine in college basketball. And maybe Franklin if he returns.

Can you imagine Brooks' shooting numbers if he had come to IU and played for Miller?

His per 40 numbers look decent so I've had my mind changed a bit. Before I absolutely didn't want him. I still don't want him but wouldn't be upset if he ended up at IU.

15 shots to score 17 points isn't exactly efficient, however. Those numbers are really hurt by his terrible 3point shooting. Regardless of what happens with Brooks, I really hope Woodson and company do a much better job on working with the players to improve their shooting than Miller did. I'm sure they will.

It's moot right now, though. He's not even in the portal.

He likes that we have TJD and P Stew, knows Hunter really well on the coaching staff. Woodson has been telling him that we are going to get up down the floor, he can be a big part of what were trying to do. Going to make a decision within a week.

I am watching Jim Coyle and Indiana Sports Beat and they are talking to the guy who broke the story about Kieon.  He said that he expects this to happen tonight or tomorrow.  Also said he was like 80 percent he would go to IU.  He also said off air which I can hear on YouTube said UK is getting the PG from Creighton.
