Southside Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 probably should have posted the below in this thread instead of the holy **** thread. overjoyed because of the heart i saw. overjoyed because it showed Archie hasn't lost the guys. F the injury bug. we just can't get a break. Officiating sucked (both ways) as bad as I've seen it this year. The O moves better without Archie's scheme centering around Morgan. I'm not saying Morgan is bad (he's F'ing awesome). I'm saying Archie needs to run the offense differently using Morgan. ray, thebigweave, mark1981 and 2 others 5 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 If IU plays with that intensity, passion and pride, they can win their remaining games. That’s not a stretch southsidehoosier, HinnyHoosier and mark1981 3 Quote

Brass Cannon Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 We grabbed 20 offensive rebounds. Archie changed something. I didn’t get to watch the game but typically his system won’t do that. Good on him southsidehoosier and mark1981 2 Quote

Popular Post cappymo14 Posted February 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2019 I feel so good for the guys man. They needed this so badly. Just a couple days ago they just looked so defeated, so beaten. They were getting abused by every conceivable Indiana media outlet. Social Media was un-viewable, with every spelling challenged, redneck lobbing insults at the kids and coaches from the couch. Even here, some tried to take things to a full on Facebook fan page in the game thread, with all the crying back and forth. This is the biggest win of the last 2 years, and I can’t tell you how or where it came from. Maybe it’s really just as simple as guys hitting open shots when they get the opportunity. Whatever it is, it couldn’t have come at a better time for those kids. Man, they needed a break. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners colonel06, thebigweave, DLG3 and 5 others 7 1 Quote

Popular Post VO5 Posted February 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2019 Another note: Forrester needs to play moving forward. I know he fouled out in 8 minutes, but he made a difference out there. Had a huge dunk and some big boards. He has that “want to” that we’ve been missing. Great game from him tonight. I loved his 'never back down' attitude with Ward. Hand fighting with him...no fear. Forrester is a guy that is going to be a player other big men are going to hate in the future. Popular Post Ryno6284 Posted February 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2019 Who is the last player that we had that looked to dunk like Jake did tonight! I know he messes up, but he is a frosh, and he is looking to crush it when he is in! His fire is lit all the time! I don't hate it! ellen.walden, thebigweave, pumpfake and 13 others 16 Quote

ray Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 That’s the heart of an Indiana team I’ve been missing. I’m proud of these guys for coming out and playing well I knew Indiana was missing Davis in a big way. He adds an element to the team we don’t have in any other player. Finally, Fitzner hit another three to end his streak. Forrester played with a lot of heart. I wish Smith took fewer threes, but he played well tonight. Juwan goes out to injury. Then, the Durham hand/wrist/finger issue. Then, Green limped off. Then, Davis had issues with a calf. Indiana hasn’t been catching many breaks on the injury front all season but, if I may ask for one break from the basketball gods, please let Juwan be ready to play next game (and not playing because he’s Juwan and says I don’t care if it pops out again like we saw in the past...a healthy, playing Juwan)? Thankfully the other three came back in and played, and it was good to see Juwan smiling and rooting on his teammates from the bench. Great game from Indiana tonight. They could have been slaughtered on the glass tonight, but they weren’t. The defense, for the most part, was back to form. The offense was working and players were hitting shots. Thankfully, it was Indiana making free throws and Michigan State missing tonight. Quote
