Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Would love for this to be true. Have seen him a ton and Ramey's really, really good. Never stops attacking the rim. Makes the correct pass and in the correct way. And he's so long and has such good instincts that he will eventually be a great, not good, defender. Would be a perfect complement for a player like Langford. I mean, perfect. Quote

Not counting this year's class because we don't know what they'll do, 20 of Crean's 42 recruits either transferred or were dismissed. 9 players completed their eligibility. Seeing the numbers is mind boggling. It's amazing Crean was praised as a great recruiter... the reason a lot of his classes were ranked so high was the quantity. He was able to burn through more recruits than the rest of the B1G by a fairly large margin (10 for his first 6 or 7 years). Kepner, ALASKA HOOSIER and Hoosierfan2017 3 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 You can't just take one attribute and say automatically he will be playing because of it. Has good size and length and can rebound his position. Pretty good athleticism too. Ball handling and D I can't speak on fully. Archie plays a tight rotation so it may be hard to crack but he'll have his chances. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app lillurk 1 Quote
Tak42 Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Good luck CuJo. Thanks for the awesome effort against North Carolina last year. We could not have won that game without you Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierDYT, ALASKA HOOSIER and IUsafety 3 Quote

It seems like he got that reputation early on and then was able to live off it as time went by. Part of being a good recruiter is class balance and he had no ability when it came to that. He was able to get some top players, but even some of those didn't pan out very well (thinking of Vonleh and Blackmon specifically). Iugradman 1 Quote
Popular Post rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 4, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 4, 2017 Wondered if something was up by his lack of p.t. but still sad to hear the news. CuJo is a talent and from all reports he had a great summer. Not sure what the reason is—could be he wanted more playing time and refuses to wait —or wants the more wide open offense like Crean ran. Whatever the reason—it is not fair to call him lazy or run him down. Everyone deserves to be happy and he helped us win some games. I wish him the best and suspect we will be hearing his name in the future making an impact for some team. Thanks and good luck CuJo!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha, muckraker, ALASKA HOOSIER and 9 others 12 Quote

Magnanimous Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Jones' departure marks the 19th player Crean recruited who transferred to another program, and the 25th Crean recruit who will not reach his senior season at IU. I wonder why we've been so inconsistent and underwhelming the last nine years.... HoosierAloha, thebigweave, Iugradman and 2 others 5 Quote

And I think he did the best he could, but he just recruited players with no apparent regard to what we needed. I'm not a Coach Crean basher and I hope he is successful in whatever he chooses to do next, but his run here was over. I want a coach who does things that make sense and I hope that Coach Miller is that guy. Kepner, colonel06 and RatpigHoosier 3 Quote
