Hovadipo Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Good for OG. Just means I get to add to the use of Yogi, Troy, Zeller, Vonleh, Victor and EJ in 2K. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appHopefully Troy and Yogi get face scans on '18. Good luck OG. Live the dream. BTOWN, IUsafety, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote

gfunk69 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 You draft on potential, not skill set. If we drafted on skill set all the time, Yogi would've been a top 5 pick. Frank Mason would be a top 5 pick as well. OG has tremendous upside as a SF in today's league. I call him a baby Kawhi. He's got incredible length, strength, and defense. Assuming he recovers fully, he's going to be a nice player in the NBA. I see him going 10th-18th.To add to that he could be a monster as a small ball 4. Dude is jacked so I'm sure he has some functional strength to go with that. And at the 4 he'd be one of the most athletic players. If he adds a post game he will be fine and not have to be able to create his own shot ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Cheaney40 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Been away for quite a while .... anything to know that's not currently out there in the media about who's staying and going? I saw OG (with agent) and Blackmon (without) ... any chatter about Bryant? Any talk of anyone being "Creaned" (can we still use that term?) to make room for incoming freshmen ... sorry if i'm causing the thread to repeat itself ... Quote

Not always true or I think Troy would've been drafted. He's always had the potential to do great things but his skill set looked like he was Europe bound. I agree though, I think OG will be just fine in the NBA. There really is no benefit for kids in his position to stay in school, if he comes back and destroys his knee then he just passed up on potential millions. He can always get that degree, but the chance to make life changing money wont always be there. thebigweave, IUfan_Charlie, SteelerHoosier and 5 others 8 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Sorry to see OG, go. But knowing sooner rather than later will be beneficial. At least his decision is final, so Archie won't have to wait till May 24 to know what his plans are. pumpfake, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and Kepner 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Interesting tweet. Jeff Rabjohns @JeffRabjohns 44 BTW, OG Anunoby's NBA plan was set prior to a coaching change. Those saying it was an "Archie Miller loss" are about 2 months behind. ALASKA HOOSIER, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Randoms on Twitter. Janitor told us his whereabouts a month or 2 ago. Janitor odoesn't know about coaching changes but still gets some player scoops. That might dry up now too though. Quote
Dalton26 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I dont think it would have mattered if we kept Crean or hired someone different. OG was gone either way. lillurk and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 @IndySportsHutch With OG gone, how does it affect IU's current roster in regards to scholarship players if nobody else leaves and no Moore. I think the potential argument for OG would be that he has shown the potential for a shot and his defense. In Troy's case, in college what you saw was what you got. He didn't shoot much and when he did it wasn't pretty. His defense lacked as well. So from the NBA perspective there wasn't much potential to grow there. Im glad he worked on his shooting and has gotten a few chances to show who he is. moyemayhem and Dalton26 2 Quote
