San Diego St lost in 2OT to Troy, Arkansas and Washington both should have lost last night. No matter the amount of money paid for a roster college basketball still finds a way for the small schools to compete and I’m here for it all. There will always be kids overlooked. Something special about teams with less talent going into a place a competing their butt off. Delivering. Wish it was a little easier in the night so I could of watched some of them live however the next day replay will do

Man imagine if we went to Rupp and beat UK. We could really break their spirit, and it would be glorious.

Not sure what this is supposed to signify. Florida lost by 20 to Tennessee last year. UK just got pummeled by Michigan St. Purdue lost by double figures 6 times last year including by 15 to a Woodson coached IU team. With the exception of very good defensive teams who can control pace, everyone is going to lose some bad ones. We’re gonna shoot a lot of threes and have results scattered all over the place including some bad losses. We’re going to make the tourney this year—barring an injury to one of our best players—or CDD will rightfully get some heat.

We have the 72nd best recruiting rankings talented roster. Yet per that chart this season we have beaten numbers five, nine, 26, 28, 37, and 42. We are hyper talented from the neck up.

Every QB on the current roster will get a fair shake at the job. Don't count out #16. His resume before D1 football was better than #15's. We're in excellent shape at the position. Who knows what next year brings but make no mistake, the current QB room is in good shape.

For sure. But it's impossible to teach a kid to be 6'6", 310 lbs at age 17, and this kid has got that.

At this point, and they’ll never do it because they love the controversy and the talk and the clicks, but I wish they’d just follow the basketball lead and do 1 announcement show the Sunday after the conference championship games and call it a day. Then, presumably, they’d be prepared to make coherent arguments for this team vs that team based on full body of evidence. Doing this thing every week is pretty infuriating because they just sound arbitrary as hell and with the exception of the obvious ones they have zero chance of satisfying anyone. Actually don’t think I’ll watch it again until the last show.

I will be rooting so hard for ND to lose to a cupcake in the next 2 weeks to take them out of the playoff race. Sadly, won't happen and they will not only make it but might stumble their way into HOSTING a game. Travesty

WIth OL, it's more about what the staff thinks they can turn into in 2-3 years. Most coming in from HS won't see the field much before then outside of maybe mop up duty or if injuries force it.

Pope is a Mormon. His wife is a BYU grad. Her father was a BYU assistant in the 90’s. Think he misses coaching at BYU yet ??

No idea if it's accurate and Rupp Rafters is definitely not a reliable source, especially given how emotional it has been in the last 24 hours (lol). They're quick to "correct" posters there who call it a 20M roster and say it's actually $22M... everyone would need to be making between $1-3M. Seems wild. There's also a lot of speculation over there that the players have been fighting/arguing about NIL. They really, really seem to think Oweh is a locker room problem. And that Pope can't get them on the same page because he's "too Mormon" for them ... haha. Looking forward to playing them.

I think Alberto has shown a good arm with good zip on the ball, and he’s certainly the more athletic of the two brothers and his legs are a legitimate weapon. obviously not the size of Fernando at 6’5 but he’s not particularly small at 6’2. Hard to know the important bits like how he processes the game, can he read defenses, does he know where to go with the football etc. but I’m sure the staff has a better idea of that. One thing for sure I know is he’ll have a stud WR in Charlie Becker to throw too next year and (hopefully) one more year of Omar Cooper. I’ll simply say this, this staff has shown they’re one of the best in America at developing QB’s, I’m sure there’s a ton of talented guys who’d love to come here, it really just comes down to how we view Alberto.

I keep hearing about their 20mil dollar roster. Does anyone know if that’s actually true? I really struggle to buy that, as in I don’t. I just don’t see how you get there without a Dybantsa or a Dent or some super high end kid like that making 4-5 mil right off the top. Oweh’s a good player but they don’t have anyone like those kinds of kids and I just don’t believe that Pope radically overpaid for a slew of pretty good players.

Not sure why Alberto would need to look elsewhere if we brought someone in to start next year over him. He'd still have a good shot at being the starter to begin '27 as a RSJR and be starter for 2 years. It's not abnormal (maybe it is now) for a QB to get their shot as a JR compared to FR or SO year.
