  1. We are shooting 90% as a team from the FT line. Made 36 of 40 in our two games. Don't necessarily expect to continue at that pace, but wow -- what a difference from years past. HATE leaving free points out there ...

  3. Ohio State isn’t really vulnerable to anything on defense; they give up like 80 yards a game on the ground. It’s one of the best defenses in college football this year and probably in the last 10. Assuming we play them in Indy, we’ll need our best game of the year.

Nobody says no to Fisch.

  8. Couple of comments from tonight's radio show. Status of injured players was not discussed. Darian DeVries, today at his radio show, on Conor Enright: “He’s so fun to coach, and he just does not care. He just competes at a high, high level all the time. There’s no shutoff button with him.” Darian DeVries on Trent Sisley's play so far: "Trent's done a really good job....he does a really good job of coming in and playing hard and doing his role." Said the coaching staff is "really excited" for Sisley's growth over the next few seasons. Darian DeVries said that Tucker DeVries won the MVP of the Goth Invitational in the win vs Marquette however, the real trophy was stolen at a concert the night before so the people that sponsored the game found a random object for Tucker DeVries to hold.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46928742/sources-mavericks-expected-fire-general-manager-nico-harrison Where do we begin? He trades his best player when he is just entering his prime. He doesn't just trade him, but he didn't even offer him around to get the best deal that he could. He gets an aging AD and some other player with a pick, and he says that Luka is out of shape and doesn't play defense. Luka gets into shape over the off season, and he has the Lakers at 8-3 while the Mavericks at the bottom of the Western Conference and lucked out to get Flagg. He pretty much deserved this.

  15. https://youtube.com/shorts/qvCslVLRYoI?si=iZpaDOk1aig4wmvJ Ha, this is good drama. Ya know LSU and Brian Kelly really deserve each other lol. Also, another not good look for coaches considering that job. They won't have much clarity on who they're working for given the interim AD, etc. and now there is risk of not getting paid a the buyout.

  16. And the plot thickens in Baton Rouge. Dan Wetzel - In a legal filing obtained by ESPN, Brian Kelly’s lawyers state that LSU is saying it never “formally terminated” Kelly and are now seeking to fire him “for cause” which could impact his near $54 million buyout. Kelly is seeking a declaratory judgement that LSU did fire him and he is entitled to “full liquidated damages.” LSU declined comment. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46924174/brian-kelly-lawsuit-says-lsu-claims-not-formally-terminated-coach-now-seeking-fire-cause-avoid-buyout

  17. Dorn too, hopefully. So maybe 4 guys returning if Ristic cracks the rotation.
    3 points
  18. I’m interested to see how we go about roster building from here on out. Redshirting, without injury, in modern NIL seems almost like an anachronism. If Ristic or another injured guy can crack the rotation we could at least say we have 3 guys with PT returning in Miles, Sisley, and 3rd person. If we bring in 5 more seniors in the transfer market we put ourselves in similar situation going into yr 3 though.

  25. With a break from the Football Gods sprinkled in here or there as well. It'll be hands down the toughest opponent (including CFP opponents) IUFB will play the entire year. They're the real deal. The silver lining though, our D isn't too bad either. If healthy, Ponds will neutralize weapons they're used to using.

  28. They will very likely match the rankings. You already see it with Caffey and Makalusky being higher ranked than previous recruits and two of next years are even higher. Those rankings are not perfect but very good guides similar to a weather forecast and with two top-40 players this year and two top-30 next year the difference will be noticeable. This is how it is supposed to work with recruiting when winning and it took Moren coming to terms that her culture was not an end-all be-all for recruiting and NIL is needed and also replacing an ineffective assistant with effective one. Most coaches when they start winning don't have to look in mirror at how they run things. Moren did and glad she made the necessary changes or this program was heading off a cliff. Now it's in good hands again.

There aren’t many better examples of a guy believing he’s the smartest guy in the room than this deal. But I’ll never get over that ownership signed off on trading a 26yo top 5 player in the world because they thought he was too fat for a supermax. Don’t care if the dude was eating BBQ during time outs, you just don’t.

  36. Wisconsin has scored a TOTAL of 54 points in their seven games against P4 teams. That’s an average of about 7.5 points per game. Their defense is solid; probably even above average for a P4 team, but we would have to score about two touchdowns less than our worst performance of the year to make this a close one. And it’s going to be played in excellent conditions.
