Of the 3 kids they’re in on hardest, Thompson is the one it would bother me least to miss on. Love his talent, but not sure he’ll be ready to be a top 2 option on a really good team next year. But I see him possibly still being good enough to go after 1 year. So I’m not sure he’s a building block. Allmond and Taylor are almost certainly not 1 year kids.6 points

Good news today - Curt Cignetti on All-American cornerback D'Angelo Ponds: "I expect Ponds to be fine and play." Adds that they found out late in the week that Ponds wouldn't be available for Iowa. Says Ponds' absence led to Indiana playing a bit more zone than they typically would.6 points -

Spread is down to -7.5. At a minimum, Cig usually covers. I’m not participating in prediction leagues this season, but I think we keep this close until the end, if not pull this off. Just need to make sure our play calling isn’t timid. We’ve been more conservative against top teams since Cig’s arrival. Let Fernando sling it and sling it often.5 points -

We are building a brand. Regardless if we are ranked correctly, too low or too high this week……..I do think that if we had the exact same results 3 or 4 years ago there is no way we would have been ranked above 1 loss Alabama, LSU and Georgia, as we are now. We most likely would have been an undefeated team ranked in the 14-18 range around where Missouri is this year. We are making some “brand progress” but really would be helpful to be competitive (or win) at Oregon.3 points -

All this talk of 10-2. One game at a time folks. Long way to the end. PSU is probably done. Unless they run the table they are basically out of cfp contention. Even if they run they table they might still be out. That loss is worse then the Bama loss to OU last year. Bad loss to a bad team. If IUFB handles business, they'll be playing in Indianapolis for the conference championship. A lot can happen in between now and then though. But the stars are aligning for our beloved Hoosiers.2 points

Wouldn’t think that will have that much to do with it. Taylor and Medlock are both 1st year Link Academy kids. Taylor’s from Kansas and Medlock’s from Michigan. Taylor was Nike and Medlock was Adidas. Doubt if they even knew each other 3 months ago. Imagine if he picks MSU it’ll be because Izzo’s Izzo.1 point

I honestly think Iowa beats them then Penn State will hold onto some hope that a 9-3 record with a road win at OSU gets them into the CFP. Then after that loss they completely crash. Hopefully we swoop in to take advantage1 point -

Well the media made it a big game and projected them to be a top 10 team, IU proved to be the much better team, but it was still a big win because we could have been affected by the hype and instead we came out and dominated! Can our Hoosiers handle the spotlight next Saturday, with GameDay and all the national attention....it is going to be a real test on the road, they are capable of competing and even winning this game!1 point -

This is a team of high IQ basketball players from what I’m seeing. Played tough defense tonight and seem to understand the game well. Quick instincts and great energy. Small sample but Alexis was way better than I imagined at this point. Very impressed with Wilkerson, Connerway, Bailey, Sisley and Tucker. This looks like a tough rugged basketball team that will be bringing their lunch pail day in and day out. You can tell they have something to prove.1 point -

I kinda hear them though, even if that chant is idiotic. Franklin turtles in these big games every single year. 1-15 vs top-5 teams, 4-21 vs top-10, 15-30 vs top-25. He’s gotta break through at some point. I’m not sure if they could do any better, but it has to be frustrating crapping down your leg in almost every big game.1 point -
