The Fire Alarm Strobe behind Jake on the wall is required to be mounted at a minimum of 80" to the center of the lens above the finished floor per ADA but no higher than 96" So looks like he is somewhere between 6'-4" and 7'-6".

  2. I see a lot of talk about tough games and difficult stretches.... Fellas, we ARE the tough game now. With this group (as talented and deep as it is), there's not a game on our schedule I don't believe we can win. I'm officially raising expectations. Who's with me?

    IU Baseball Commits

#5 for '20 tonight. LHP Zach Behrmann - North Central, IN - Perfect Game // Prep Baseball Report @ZBehrmann23: I’m very excited to announce that I have committed to Indiana University to continue my academic and baseball careers! #iubase #B1G

  7. Really excited to get the schedule today. Gonna do a more in depth topic but I see no reason we can’t have 21-22 wins in the regular season. 8 of 11 of our OoC games are at assembly hall with 2 of the other 3 being very winnable. I figure we can get 8 wins here 9 isn’t out of question either then because of a favorable schedule 14 wins in the big ten. We get to play Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois and Rutgers twice. Should be able to get 6 here. Single plays @Maryland, @Penn State, @Minnesota and at home versus Wisconsin, Ohio State and Nebraska. This is favorable because tougher opponents are at home. Think 4 wins Then double plays with Purdue, Michigan and MSU. I think 3 wins is more than legit. With 4 a slight possibility if we can hold serve at home The first two categories I could see us getting an extra win also. Rutgers, Illinois and Northeestern are going to be sooo bad we really SHOULD sweep them.

    Upcoming season

Leshaun Minor is back on the roster. Story was his heart was not there and he was not giving it his all. Had a heart to heart with Coach....now he’s back....Grayson stover was given a medical waiver he will no longer play but will finish school at IU. So let the minor saga continue......he was not on the roster at beginning of camp so that’s why I wanted to relay info

    Urban Meyer

Ohio State fired Jim Tressel, who went 106-22 as their coach and was 9-1 against Michigan, because he lied about his players selling their own possessions. They also fired Woody Hayes and John Cooper. Ohio State is not afraid to fire successful coaches. It's one of the best jobs in the country, and they normally have their pick of the lot whenever it opens up. Programs at that level have no problem canning a coach because they know they'll be back at some point. It's the mid-level schools that have had the majority of their success under one coach that are less likely to willingly fire that coach (Michigan State).

Three guys listed at 6'10", three guys listed at 6'8", three guys listed at 6'6", and not a single player under 6'0". That kind of size hasn't been wearing the Cream and Crimson in quite some time, or so it seems to me.

  27. I'm not sure I would call Newman second tier regardless of his "star" rating. He is a foundational multi-year player with a very desirable skill set and good size. Players like Newman equal program consistency over time.

Honestly, I really don't take that much stock in these rating systems. While they are fun to see and what not it's really about the coaches ability to see player potential/skill set along with player development. And the development part is on both the player and coaching staff. A couple of good recent examples are Cody Latimer (3* with only one offer) and David Kenney (4* with 12 offers). I really like what I'm seeing so far this year in regards to strength and speed development. Now it's up to the other coaches to hone in on their specialty to develop player position. It's seems like a completely different vibe with the entire program this year and I hope it translates into more wins on the field.
