I only really like TJD, Phin, Smith (playing better but teams will sag off him as the season progresses and his offense will be nil).

So much for a deep roster. Kinda like, when you have 3 qbs you don’t have one. That’s why we have an 11 man rotation.

Franklin stunk the place up tonight. Another guard who can’t shoot.

All seem like good kids. Rooting for them.

Can’t justify Franklin taking 4 from distance right now. Normally I’d say if provided a nice open look, go ahead and shoot yourself out, but he’s missing by miles. He too quick to huck it. Would like to see him look to penetrate first. He’s open for a reason lately, and he’s not Romeo, but the kid passes well off the bounce and a couple nice assists to other shooters might help jump start his confidence.

Got to give TJD his props....he certainly is a man.  Think back to the two players of most similar incoming pedigree to him --- Noah Vonleh and Thomas Bryant.  Have to say that TJD is better than either of them were as freshman.

I asked this question at this beginning of the year. I think he’s not as great as Vonleh, who was epic, but maybe as impactful as Zeller. Disappearing during the Wisconsin game makes me want to wait and see, but he’s the best freshman under Archie so far.

Our training has been worrisome. However, I'm not sure how many days off these boys get a week. The physicality at which we play at, I'd say two days or at least one full day off and light work another day would be ideal.

This is not one game. MSU didn’t play like crap 3 games in a row

We didn't look great against Uconn, but they're a pretty good team. We were only favored by 1.5 I believe and won by 3. Shooting was abysmal, but that was a pretty good win. Yes, the Wisconsin and Nebraska games were bad effort, but grinding out a win in MSG against a solid opponent does not fit with the other 2

I really like this team and I think they have potential. Hate to state the obvious, but they need to do the little things a lot better. Stop the stupid TO and stop taking plays off on the DEF end. If they can do that, they will have one hurdle left - outside shooting. I’m not sure they can fix that this year, but they need to sure up the other areas quickly. The good thing is they haven’t dug themselves into a hole with the sloppy play.

Well I have seen a lot of people say we suck. Guess it’s a good year to suck cause there is no team that scares me and any team can beat any team on a given night and we are 10-1 without a loss to a cupcake. We have to play better but I agree with I think LIHoosier last night. Everyone is just waiting for the trainwreck to occur that they can’t enjoy being 10-1. That was the worst 2-0 week I can recall, but we are 10-1 and not 8-3. We have to play better. Will we? I don’t know, but I look forward to next Saturday.

I’m just taking things game by game, because although we are 10-1, my basketball eye tells me we suck. We do have an ace up our sleeve in TJD.

If Archie had recruited better........ give me Carton and Brooks on this team with TJD.

Much of our roster is bleh... can’t guard 1v1, shoot the ball. That’s a recipe for disaster yet we are 10-1. Hoping the avalanche doesn’t activate.

Lets not forget though it can be tough to come in as a Freshman with a vigorous training/lifting schedule where your body changes. Not saying that’s a huge problem, but it can play a factor.

I’ve calmed down since last night, but still very worried we might be on a similar path as lat year. I don’t think as severe, which means a tourney birth, but still very worrisome.

This team does ooze potential to be very good, especially when clicking. Just don’t get the inconsistency and lack of want to at times.

We had the 11-12, 12-13 and 15-16 seasons under Crean. Those are 3 of the Top 5 seasons we’ve had since Knight was fired. The 12-13 team was arguably the best team we’ve had since he was fired.

Is the sky falling or something?  Really enjoyed the game last night and let's give some credit to Fred Hoiberg for putting together an excellent game plan that his team followed.  I wouldn't expect less from Hoiberg.  He is an excellent coach.  On offense they spread IU out and made us play one-on-one defense.  Five out and none in means that our bigs have to come outside and guard on the perimeter and we got exposed.  In addition it takes away our help defense since it pulls players back inside and leaves open shooters on the outside.  The move took Brunk and Davis out of the game and negated one of our biggest advantages.  Nebraska also ran some clear-outs where we were forced to play one-on-one.  Folks that is how you beat a pack line defense.  They forced IU to defend the outside instead of the inside.  That is how you turn a plus (our size) into a negative and is the product of good coaching.

On defense, Nebraska tried to take away our inside game by giving us all the outside shots was could want and more.  We choked on that diet until the second half when we started to go inside and Jackson-Davis and Smith started to take over.  Simply put, Nebraska had too little size and too many fouls to stop us inside.  That is why I never thought the game was in doubt.  Credit MIller for correcting our offense on the fly.

Credit Fred Hoiberg for an excellent job of coaching last night.  He turned the game into a chess match and made it close as a result.  Unfortunately for Nebraska they did not have enough pieces to win the game, but they certainly game us a game that we will remember.

The Big 10 is full of good coaches and they all look at film.  last year it didn't take them long to figure out that Indiana had Langford and Morgan and not much else.  Game plan to stop those two and you stop IU.  You can bet that those coaches will now be looking at film of last night's game and the Wisconsin game for how to stop the Hoosiers.  This is where MIller earns those big bucks that we are paying him.  This is his team that he has assembled and I'm sure he is aware of exactly what happened last night.  The weight now falls on his shoulders to find a way to fix the problems.  I'm not sure exactly what that may be (They aren't paying me those big bucks to fix anything).  There has to be a solution.  We aren't just going to throw the season away.  My fear is that there won't be a solution coming because Coach Miller can be pretty inflexible at times.  My feeling is that if something isn't working, fix it!   I like Coach MIller and I like the team he has assembled.  I desperately want the Hoosier to do well.  But, if you are going to evaluate the job Coach Miller has done at IU, this is where you begin.  Don't give me excuses.  I'm only interested in results.  I hope we can find a way.
