I’ll almost always root against the SEC, but I make an exception when it’s Notre Dame. Should take them out of the playoff picture.

So now Notre dame will fall to 18 or so, play nobody the rest of the season and rattle off 10 straight wins and get a high seed because they keep winning while everybody else loses.

Yep gotta win a conference game to wash the stink from last year off. 
 

And while not a conference game Notre Dame is going to make them suffer next week

That’s a tough one. As much as I love little brother continuing to embarrass themselves every year watching Domers get that look, you know the one, knocked off their smug faces certainly has it’s charms. Annoying that someone gets to win.

Purdue is -26.5 at ND right now.  And they still aren't very good.  They're gonna get a paddlin'.

I really dislike both teams, but a win would mean more to PU and signal they're improving -- I hope they lose by 40.

Like when they lost to NIU last year? I know they're 0-2 now but I think they still will probably make the playoff simply because the rest of their games are very winnable. 10-2 will probably get them in since they're Notre Dame.

Currently at 0-2? Of course. I'm not talking about if the playoff was selected right now but when it's selected at the end of the season.

They were also top 10 before this game where they lost by 1 point to a top 20 team. They'll drop a bit in the rankings but not too far. Win the next 10 games (very doable, their schedule is a joke) and they'll easily be in the top 12 at the end of the season. If they drop another one, they're out but I think they end up getting in. I'd love nothing more than to be wrong, though.
