IU's OL will protect Rourke.  IU's DBs and cornerbacks will not back off as much against the pass.  Mess with their QB...game is IU's to win.  OSU does not have what it takes to be the best of the best.

BYU at this point is conference title win or out. Big 12 will only get one team in. I think IU must beat OSU to get in. If not Georgia will take their spot

Might as well have hope, why not. But road game against top 3 talent in the country. Coaching advantage goes to us. I think so long as we don’t get blown out we make the playoff so I’ve got low expectations on this one.

The SEC and ESPN have a self serving relationship. IU needs to win Sat or keep it close.

I think A&M loses to Texas.  I'm also of the opinion that Ole Miss has a good chance of losing at Florida this weekend.

Yeah there are a lot of things that can break our way the next 2 weeks. Not least of which is us taking care of our own business. Others that would work in our favor: PSU @ Minnesota, ND @ USC, UT @ Vandy, maybe Bama @ Oklahoma though I really doubt it. I think if any of the 6 games mentioned work in our favor, we stay ahead of that team in the rankings w/ a loss in Columbus.

I have to think that one of the remaining one loss teams will lose at some point, giving IU a clear path to the playoff.  Hosting a game is another matter.  With a loss, I don't see IU in the top 8.  (I even think there is a world that IU goes to the BIG Championship Game, loses the game, and is relegated to a 9-12 spot.)

I hope you're right on both of those. It would make it harder to leave out a 1 loss IU team if they don't win Saturday. Let's not forget a few years ago when the B1G went out of its way to make sure OSU got to the conference championship game instead of IU. No reason to think the CFP committee wouldn't do the same thing if given the chance. IU winning at OSU puts them in the playoffs but barring that, other teams losing will help IU.

Fickell is an idiot. They had a clear, established & successful identity that translated over several coaching staffs....so they decidet to install the Air Raid! Just plain stupid. Nebraska made a similar mistake 20yrs ago ( remember Bill Callahan and his pro style West Coast Offense?) they've never recovered. Hope the same happens in Madison and they sink back to pre-1990's obscurity where they belong.

Not a chance, that would mean IUFB beat the #2 team in the country and lost to the #1 or 2 (IUFB could jump to #1 after beating O$U) team in the country. They would host a game and be ranked as high as 5 or 4.

Agreed.

All 4  participants in the BT and SEC championship games will either get a bye or host a game. I’d be very surpassed if any of the 4 drop to 9th.

If you want to know how unlikable Herman is, FAU just re-hired the DC that he fired a few weeks ago.

He was 4-8 and 2-8 in less than two seasons. Granted, those are pretty bad records, but when you get fired midway through your second season -- seems like it runs a lot deeper than Ws and Ls.
