I’m sure we’ll see plenty of takes this afternoon about SMU from the SEC crowd. They’re undefeated in hypothetical matchups. But screw em. You go to a 12 team playoff to have these teams make it that wouldn’t make a 4 team playoff. Their pro-Bama arguments would have a lot more merit if we didn’t watch Alabama get boat raced by a trash Oklahoma team less than a month ago.

Would be nice if our game didn’t “stick out” but the IU narrative will probably continue no matter what.

It is seemingly SO SIMPLE but the SEC just won’t quit.

All Alabama had to do was beat a crappy Oklahoma team but not only did they lose they lost 24-3. Three points and non-competitive.

Win and they would have been in but they lost to a sh!te team! Why is that so hard to understand?

It was self inflicted, but Bama did decide to have Nick Sheridan on their staff the entire season.

That’s a mystery to me. I was very surprised when I heard he was brought over as the OC.

Look at it this way: Suckeyes win and the SEC can indeed shut it.

Tennessee wins and we can see if they plant a flag in the Horseshoe before it becomes a felony.

Yes they will. Which I will enjoy. 
 

IU was fine. We deserved to be there. Lost to a more talented team on the road. I’d probably prefer to see more sec losses. If ND beats uga and by any margin at all it can be the nail in the coffin of the narrative that IU or any big ten team didn’t belong. The acc is another story.

After watching today’s games, I feel a little better. Road games are tough. It seems our defense, despite a ton of missed tackles, deserved to be in the playoffs. Our offense had a great year but collectively the offense came up short in the big games.

It feels like if they want these first round playoff games to be good games with potential for occasional upsets, they’re going to have to start playing on neutral sites.

Halfway there. 

I thought our defense showed up all year and more than held their own. With a similar offense we could have won every game we played. Need to be bigger, stronger, and faster on the offensive side. Especially on the o line.
