I wasn't actually advocating for a ban; that was rhetorical. How is what Chris has said related to this recruitment any different than what Rabjohns has said? Rabjohns never said he was going to IU. So why are people "foolish" for passing on his reporting?

I didnt say anyone was foolish for passing on info. Read what I said again.

 

There were a few posters that kept saying Rabjohns was posting nuggets or something like that, and then would say they werent sharing premium info get a subscription if you want to see. It wasnt even that much of a shot at Rabjohns more so on the couple people that kept trying to drive people to another site.

3 NBA talents will always have a chance. Unless you are coached by Crean.

Your probably right. Months ago I thought we would get Romeo but not garland. Then I thought we'd get both. Now I think we won't get either. I could see Romeo picking vandy soon.

Who knows? Maybe Phinisee gets up to speed quicker than we thought and ends up being better for IU in the long run. Remember, Calbert Cheaney wasn't all that highly regarded out of high school -- he ended up OK.

My thought on Romeo is if NC is a big piece of the puzzle for him and IU is in no way appealing to him by spring, then he would be stupid not to choose Kansas. Yes, he can go play with Garland and Shittu and that's a darn good team on paper. But it's Vanderbilt and they likely won't have enough around the three to complete a NC caliber team. Kansas, on the other hand.... They've got all the "resources" needed to stack a roster.

No he doesn't, but I also don't think a freshmen class of Garland, Shittu and Romeo necessarily puts Vandy in the national title hunt either. It's an amazing class, but not like they'd be joining a powerhouse program full of other talent.

In not worried about it. I’m not too worried if Langford doesn’t come here either. It’s 1 year. I know some will disagree but I’m looking at the big picture. I understand locking down the state. I want players that want to play for indiana university. If you don’t then don’t, we’re gonna be alright !

Here's the thing for Romeo. He wants to play for a winner. He wants to be a big part of the team.

The way we look this year, it's going to be hard to convince The Langfords that we will be good next year. We have the look of a .500 squad or worse to me.

Our recruiting class is solid but not to the point we can have guaranteed success like Duke, UNC, UK etc.

The fact Romeo is waiting until Spring is not great for us unless Archie can perform a miracle with our roster.

This was a fun recruiting thread, regardless of where garland goes...I wish him the best of luck at vandy. I don't think that IU would have even been in the hunt with the previous coach, so I'm still feeling optimistic on IUs general direction. Can't get them all

It's not like that. I'm pissed, but right now Rabs is just the easy target for anyone. I respect his work still I just won't listen to anything he shares much anymore because he was closer than most to the situation and made it feel closer than it was. That's all. The rumblings of people trying to make it entertaining could be anyone I guess. I dont have evidence to slander anyones name/s. We lost out on the kid and I for one enjoyed the recruitment until now and wish him the best. I hope Rabs didnt derail things and he never said IU had him so that does mean he shouldnt take too much heat. Vandy really did get a great kid.
