I think Langford would make IU clear B1G contenders next year with the possibility to reach greater heights.

No knock on Phinisee, who will obviously be important from day 1, but I wonder if national contention might be more likely if Langford plays a somewhat ball-dominant role at the 2 with Green growing out of some foolish mistakes to be the starting point.

In our online basketball league I’m the Bloomington Hoosiers and just recruited a 6’6 SG with the last name of Langford. It’s a sign fellas he’s ours.

Not sure what more iu could do to show Romeo the love. The fans love him and showed passion. The coach and players showed how much they want him. If he does pick vandy it will have to be strictly off of wanting to play with those two cause there is no passion in that program. Kansas would be for competing for a title. Iu clearly wins the passion battle.

Once again IU made it known they were there tonight. Rob Phinisee being there for both games played a big role. Archie wants the Garland relationship to fall on the back burner. The last two weekends have shown him how much his potential future teammates support him and that was big. This is gonna be a fun few weeks.
Also worth noting, got a text that said they overheard TJD congratulating Romeo & said, " please stay two years so we can play together". We made huge impressions all around the last 2 weeks. Archie isn't going down without a fight which with Garland he just gave up because he knew we weren't getting him so that makes these visits even better for my personal gut feeling.

Since their championship in 2008, they have been a 1 seed five times, a 2 seed three times, and a 3 seed once. They have only one final four in that stretch. They're the most overseeded team by a long shot on an annual basis. Bill Self hasn't won much with 5* freshmen either.

Not that we're really in any position to talk right now, but the objective college basketball fan in me says if he goes to KU he has a chance to win a Big 12 title and flame out in the second round. The Big 12 plays and wins some great games in the noncon season. They get to conference season and all bow down to KU. It's amazing how many teams straight fold against KU or there are random calls. The Big 12 loves them some KU hoops and Texas football. $$$

They scare me a bit with Romeo though.

Not knocking Yogi as he is reporting what he was told, but just saying the text of TJD telling Romeo to stay for 2 years so they can play together almost seems like an urban legend type thing, but would be awesome if true.

I was fortunate to witness Romeo play against TJD in the Seymour regional last night and wow that was a crazy experience! As for Romeo, I just can't imagine there is a better player in HS in the country than him. I was able to watch Eric Gordon play in HS against Greg Oden and Mike Conley and I can tell you Romeo is far and above a better player than those 3 mentioned when they were in high school. There's no doubt he'll be a household name similar to Trae Young next year...except he actually makes his team better. Definitely a one of a kind player and great kid. I live near CG so I have seen TJD play several times but it was something else seeing Romeo live in action. The seats filled up so fast I had to sit in the NA section and I got to talking to serval people from there and each one of them think IU is where Romeo will end up. Again, nobody knows for certain but that's what the NA feels at this point. I was surprised Bryce Drew didn't make an appearance and was glad to see that Archie brought out Ostrom and Flint and Phinisee to visit with Romeo...Let's hope this final push pays off BIG! As for TJD I can tell you that he and Brooks are super close and have a "pact" to play together in college. Both his parents are now pushing for IU....I also know from good source that Archie is the only one who has been keeping in contact with him recently and Izzo/MSU hasn't made contact in several months. TJDs mom went to IU and his stepdad has pushed for IU since the allegations at MSU came out...prior he was aboard TJD to MSU. Just thought I'd share my experience last night and info that I've heard here recently.

The text about what TJD said to Romeo seems unlikely. I doubt Trayce was even thinking about recruiting right after the game.

The Peegs member eating lunch next to TJD’s parents and openly talking about their son’s recruitment seems unlikely. I doubt TJD’s parents are openly talking about what their son and someone else’s son likes/wants at lunch.

Also the rumor about Romeos girlfriend transferring to IU from NKU are true per some New Albany family I sat next to. Also hearing you're gonna see TJDs younger brother with an offer here if TJD commits...again just what the word in the CG area has been.

I heard from a bunch of sugar-covered marshmallow bunnies whose friend had been bought by the Langfords for Easter that Romeo was having a phone conversation with Bryce Drew. Romeo said, "I really like your school, but I'm not sure ..."

Unfortunately, before the bunny heard the end of the conversation, Romeo's sister bit off its head. 

I know someone said no more Peegs rumors, but this is a Peeps rumor, so I'm guessing it's OK.

Watch me sign Romeo

I was there and with the second game pretty much out of hand I was watching the interaction between these two.
Archie seemed to be getting a head start coaching his very attentive future floor General.
Phinnisse's a smart kid and a pretty damm good player.I cant help but be excited about our future with these two working together.Couldn't say I saw much hope a few months ago.
