Josh Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Nigel Hayes shot more free throws than our entire team combined. Every time he touched the ball he was given free throws. That was complete BS. LockdownD, JaybobHoosier, Parakeet Jones and 1 other 4 Quote

rebelhoosier848891 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Well crud----the curse continues---14 straight losses at Wiscy. Could have gone either way. Take it out on Minny next game. Quote
AKHoosier Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I emotionally detached myself from this game, couldn't even make it to halftime. Left to go work out at the Y because I knew I'd get too angry at the officiating and stressed out. I came back just in time to see the ESPN graphic that Nigel Hayes shot more free throws than our entire team. Yep, glad I missed this one. Probably a whistle every time down the floor. F**k Wisconsin and their damn building. WayneFleekHoosier, HoosiersLoveBanners and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

IUfan_Charlie Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 While Troy definitely played like s***, he, Yogi, and Bryant were the only ones who could put any damn points on the board. Quote
Brass Cannon Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Failed to get a good shot at the end of regulation too. Well to be fair if Yogi had done what most basketball players would do there, he would have been called for an offensive foul Jketch and cappymo14 2 Quote
theriverpilot Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Sorry if it offends anyone I just think it is a cop out to blame the refs. IU had plenty of opportunities to win the game in the second half and couldn't hang on to the ball or play any sort of defense on Happ. Questionable substitutions late in the game and in OT. IU had their opportunities and didn't capitalize. Good point. IU did have some chances to put it away a few times, but man...that officiating! Lol JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
coonhounds Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 We were driving and forcing up impossible shots all game. To many turnovers also. Not going to lie this game hurts ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 So many thoughts about this game. - Refs, meh typical game at Wiscy - Stupid TOs - Too many stretches of bad offense and defense - Troy has not improved - Had a chance to win when we shouldn't have been that close - Have to be 5 points better than opponent on the road in the B1G -- That's 10 at the Kohl Center Napleshoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote
Ryno6284 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 when we don't hit a $hit load of 3's this is what we get! Is wisky considered a bottom feeder since they are .500 in conference? WayneFleekHoosier, 8bucks and pumpfake 3 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Adjust You are supposed to adjust from a guy getting touch fouls every time down the court. Er ok. AKHoosier, Josh, VO5 and 2 others 5 Quote

When we drive we do not go strong and try going around the guy and that is not getting a call. MikeRoberts and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote
chitown hoosier Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 It's not adjusting. He got a lot of touch fouls in the game. Kudos to him though for draining them when it mattered. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
colonel06 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Can't beat a team when you foul enough to put them on the line like 40 (approx) times:( Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Yes, the officiating was horrid but it always is at Wisky and you need to be prepared to get screwed on the calls. But the officiating alone didn't cost us this game. Troy a no show for most of the game; virtually no bench help and little ball movement as evidenced by only 6 assists on 28 made shots. What's critical at this point is how this team bounces back against Minny. Do they bounce back with a convincing beat down or does tonight's game signal the onset of our usual end of season swoon?
