KingPG21 Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM Posted yesterday at 12:56 AM Our defense is absolutely championship caliber. Best pair of wide outs in the nation. Really good RB room I really hope stuff looks better after a bye. Our special teams, is just bad, I don't know how much faith I have in Hoover at this point, its not just accuracy. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM Unreal game in every sense. I would swear Radicic, Gowers, and the FG holder bet huge money for Indiana to lose that game. I know they didn’t but my goodness what an ugly game on special teams. Staff needs to analyze everything in regards to special teams. Wilson looked pretty dang good. I’m still in shock. and glad we’ve got a bye week. ps-(the number of bloody elbows was more than I’ve ever seen in a game of ours). Quote

He said he was going to do it if it was like a 58 yd kick but with it being a 60 yd kick he didn't? I just cannot wrap my mind around this. Figured i am missing something. Quote
IU5355 Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Anyone notice how Cig has given this team some love during postgame interviews? Seems like he was harder on last year's team during interviews. Quote

If he calls timeout and they don’t kick it, it’s a risk they’ll score. He figured at 4th and 10+ it’s more likely they not kick. Quote

He’s very likeable imo. Trying to fully enjoy what I see as a short tenure left. Quote

IndianaBasketball Forum and glad we’ve got a bye week. ps-(the number of bloody elbows was more than I’ve ever seen in a game of ours). Field goal unit had issues @Rutgers as well. The shank today looked more like execution issues on the snap and hold than anything.Same as the Rutgers game. Quote
skhoosier2 Posted yesterday at 01:14 AM Posted yesterday at 01:14 AM I went back and watched. Gut check win. Ugly special teams. I said it earlier but I think Josh’s problems do not fully have to do with an injury. I don’t think he’s cut out for THIS offense. Yes he ran RPO but the BIG 12 is not the B1G. Defenses are tougher. Competition is tougher. He’s in his head and scared to make a mistake. He’s not making the right reads and his accuracy was an issue long before his injury. I’d roll the dice with Wilson for USC. Defense elite. Get healthy on the bye and figure out the offense. Hardwood83 1 Quote

I also believe he knows how flawed this team is and he praises their grit and knows these games could easily have been lost. Last year's team was about as perfect at execution as any team ever, yet during his interviews it was usually always about "cleaning things up". He knew how great that team was. I think he tailors his approach to the team to get the most out of them. ’25 was a super team he could push and push and keep getting more. This year’s group may need some building up and beating on them won’t help. I dunno, just a guess. Jeff Flabjohns Posted yesterday at 02:07 AM Posted yesterday at 02:07 AM Cig has changed our lives, forever. He’s earned all the benefits of the doubt. But man, how do you return to Hoover after what we’ve seen from him in conference play? The reads are terrible. The throws themselves are either behind if over the middle or long when throwing outside. Wilson is more mobile. Hoover seems broken. Grant made three throws that Hoover hasn’t hit in a month. skhoosier2, OliviaPope40, Hoosierfan2017 and 4 others 7 Quote

Wilson is a serviceable game manager. Big Ten Championship depends on who we play. I don’t think we have the QB on roster to win the CFP. Hoover can’t string more than 2 or 3 good throws together. And he consistently calls the one play on RPO he can’t read the defenses. Respectfully, this take on USC isn’t aging well. Turns out it’s tough for elite programs to win when their first string QB is injured. (Also, see Oregon) Quote

Should have called a timeout. Should have gone for it on fourth down. 100% on Cig. Just horrible coaching top to bottom I mean had Cig called a TO, then after we hit that 60 yarder they would have had time to score. Seems pretty obvious dws Quote

We are losing ours to poor play. Wilson isn’t a redshirt freshmen that’s our only hope Quote
