This is going to be a mess. I have a feeling we are going to see either LSU exit the SEC or pro athletes this season

It’s a pretty well written amicus brief. The NCAA’s threats of penalties and sanctions against people complying with a court order is laughable. The NCAA itself is a complete mess. I’ll hold out hope it is forced to go away at some point

That sucks.  As a cancer survivor so far, I hope that he does beat it and gets back to full time.

Surprise, surprise.  Trey Kaufman-Renn was granted a TRO by the Clark Co., IN circuit court so he won't have to leave for Outer Mongolia just yet.

Looks like UK and UL showing interest.

Utterly ridiculous. If there is an argument for a 5 year college guy who went through the draft process, was drafted and played summer league to return to college what argument is there against anyone?

Not to get political because it’s a problem pervasive in the system. But judges doing whatever they feel like without accountability is the biggest problem right now

I'm not sure what's crazier...that he's probably getting a 6th year OR that he only made 1.4 million during his entire time at Purdue.

Purdue really is broke...

And didn't they have to completely fleece the football team just to pay him that?

Big time. In TX where I practice the state court judges are elected, which is idiotic - straight party ticket voting. Regardless of anyone’s politics it’s flat out stupid. Politicians masquerading as judges, decisions based on who funded their campaigns and chances of be-election. It’s gotten noticeably worse over the past few years, judges simply ignoring the law. Completely idiotic.
