They are definitely settling in. These tickets highlighted got snapped up quick :-). I am by no means an expert and my advice SHOULD NOT BE FOLLOWED HERE. But I've been so fortunate to have exactly zero priority points with IU and forced to scour secondary markets for the last 3 games. Buying early was totally a mistake for the Rose and Peach Bowl. Tickets came way down as the game got closer and even more so the day before and day of (weather likely a factor for the Rose Bowl). The B1G championship game was the opposite. Buying early would have been way better as prices spiked as the game got closer (though I can't speak for day of). The biggest similarity between B1G champ and the CFP champ game is one fanbase being local. I'm highly skeptical of pricing coming down to its lowest over the weekend. But again I will retype my first sentence I am by no means an expert and my advice SHOULD NOT BE FOLLOWED. So...buy early!! Or...wait!

The other thing that people need to remember with the secondary markets is that the seller is probably selling a ticket listed at $3000 for only $2500 (plus $500 in “service fees”). I know this is common knowledge but at these prices it’s all amplified. So if you’re waiting for listed prices to drop below $2000, from the seller’s perspective they’re already selling it at that price.

Very true. There will be a significant chunk taken out of that sale price. I remain skeptical that any significant drop will happen over the weekend. Here's last year's trend, where prices remained steady, then spiked closer to the game: https://www.ticketdata.com/events/588870. The 2024 game was the opposite. Very hard to predict.

Anyone happen to hear anything about the tell he found on Miami's play calling? He was going to discuss on his Patreon and then take it down. I hope he just told Ponds, et al left it at that. Then he can tell everyone else after we win.

I believe it's a 10% fee for sellers plus a 20% fee for buyers, based on my experience selling tickets on Seat Geek.

But, also, at the risk of sounding flippant, so what? It would technically be more accurate for someone to say they are waiting for sellers to be willing to sell for $1650, I suppose, I'm just not sure where the perception that $2000 is the bottom-floor for sellers would come from.
