Demo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I’ll put my loathing of excessive eligibility on par with anyone’s, but this mushrooming narrative that IU is basically AAAA guys beating up on kids is REALLY starting to pi$$ me off. Jeff Flabjohns, go iu bb, Home Jersey and 2 others 5 Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 10 Posted January 10 This has been an unreal run. B.C. (Before Cignetti) we would need 4 years to get 15 wins. We'd have to do mental gymnastics to find 6 possible wins. A.C. we're in the CFP title game and outscored our first 2 opponents by 69 points. Cignetti looks like someone peed in his Cheerios after his team just left a body outline of yet another team. Quote

Seriously, but it's hilarious to watch the narrative shift as the season progresses from "IU isn't actually good", "hasn't beaten anyone", to "they're only good because their roster's average age is older than the Green Bay Packers". 5th year seniors have always been a thing. The Covid year is gone. If player age was the end all be all, why hasn't BYU won anything at all the past 20 years? If people can't appreciate the genius and mastery of Cignetti yet then they're just jealous how easy he's making it look. HoosierReb01 and Demo 2 Quote
