DChoosier Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 Kudos to Iowa for imposing their style of play on the game. BUT…..kudos to IU for hanging in and putting up the W. thebigweave, BBTB, Napleshoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

Popular Post Pagoda Posted September 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2025 Of course we need to play better going forward, but it's not abnormal in CFB to have a bad day on the road. It happens to almost every team. And we won! 5-0 record. Ranked #11. Got a bye now to get healthy and prepared. You can't ask for much more than that. Don't forget where we were two years ago. Popular Post Stuhoo Posted September 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2025 Reporter: “Fernando, what will you remember most about your first B1G road game?” Mendoza: “Fantastic atmosphere here in Iowa. I’ll remember all of our teammates coming together. It wasn’t the prettiest.it was just a band of brothers, and the boys winning it in the fourth quarter. Sticking together through the good, the bad, and the ugly. And all that matters is that we got the win. Hats off to Iowa; fantastic defense, and fantastic opponent. —————————————————- Reporter: “Coach, this is your first time in Kinnick Stadium. What will you remember from this win?” Cig: “Sarrat running into the end zone for the win.” I’m with Coach. Jeff Flabjohns, LamarCheeks, BBTB and 11 others 8 6 Quote

Popular Post Hovadipo Posted September 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2025 Big picture I didn’t think we were bad today. Obvious situational issues, but you have a damn good staff staring at you across the field when you line up against Iowa. I think today’s score can be an aberration just like the Illinois one was. Full faith in the staff to clean things up going forward, but when it came down to it we made the plays we needed to make on both sides of the ball. I’m over the moon to win a game like that in a place like that. thebigweave, MemphisHoosier, Pagoda and 11 others 14 Quote

Harry Gonso goes to his favorite receiver, Jade Butcher in the last two minutes to defeat Iowa. That was in Memorial Stadium with a large home crowd, but it was still a huge win…just like today. Though there was some stuff there that felt off, as the 1st road game of the year against a well-coached team in a very tough environment it’s easy to argue that’s the best win so far in Cig’s tenure. Certainly better than any win last year. Hovadipo, Home Jersey and thebigweave 3 Quote
IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 The bad news was that we had to play Iowa's brand of sicko football. The good news is that we won, so we go to 5-0 and a top 10 ranking awaits us this Monday. MemphisHoosier, rcbowla, Pagoda and 2 others 5 Quote
