I’m not 100% sure on this, but I believe we still owe BTN a game, which means Wisconsin will be on there since the Purdue game was given a time slot before the season. I suppose with it being on BTN it could be just about at any time.

Per BTN's basketball release, it seems Oklahoma vs Nebraska in South Dakota (huh?) is at 7pm on 11/15 so our game should be Noon or 3:30, probably find out Monday.

We should get a BTN pass after getting jammed with two games on Peacock this year!

One other notable thing related to the PSU game: the line opened around 11.5 and it’s moved to 13.5.  Any win there would be great though.

After watching 40 years of bad football, I'm still sorta pinching myself.

I know what the standings are, but it's still kinda cool to just stare at them for a minute or two. I, like most of us, can remember when it'd take us 3-4 years to reach six B1G wins ...

Texas Oklahoma ND all nearing top 10 with same record as Iowa and Washington. I don’t understand

To your point.

In Allen’s last three years IU won a TOTAL of 3 Big Ten games! (0 wins, 2 wins and then 1 win in his final season) !!

With four games left I took a stab at Redshirt status & eligibility for the team.  The main takeaway, and it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has watched this staff, is that very few freshmen are on track to burn this year of eligibility, the staff has been strategic on putting younger players in position to gain experience & exposure.

Group I - Have Exceeded the 4 game threshold

Sr. - Sarratt, Brady, Staes, Wyatt, Daley, Fisher, McCarthy

Jr. - Ponds, Ferrell

So.- Becker, Nduckwe, Landino, Hardy

Fr. - Bond and Jaylen Bell

Group II - Played 2-3 games, worth monitoring

Fr. - Wilkin (2 games) and Reese (3 games)

Group III - Played 0-1 games, On-Track to RS for the '25 season

Sr. - Tyler Morris (Injured)

Fr.  - Jacob Bell, Cuono (1 gm), Chandler (1 gm), Kendrick, Thiry, Barker (1 gm), Parker, Marek (1 gm), Calhoun, Burrus Jr., Abram, Hall, Garcia (1 gm), Nelson (1 gm), Amari Kamari, Zacharey Smith, Seaonta Stewart, Byron Baldwin (1 gm)*

*Baldwin saw his first action of the year against UCLA, I fully expect him to see the field the rest of the season

With three games left here is where the staff sits on RS Decisions.  TL:DR there are six Freshmen to keep an eye on with three games remaining. Of the six, I expect Reese and Baldwin Jr. to be the two most likely to eclipse the >4 mark.

Fr. - Chandler (2 gm), Marek (2 gm), Wilkin (3 gm),  PJ Nelson (2 gm), Garrett Reese (4 gm), Baldwin Jr. (2 gm)

Group III - Will Redshirt for the '25 Season (Played 0-1 Games)

Sr. - Tyler Morris (Injured)

Fr.  - Jacob Bell, Cuono, Kendrick, Thiry, Barker, Parker, Calhoun, Burrus Jr., Abram, Hall, Garcia, Amari Kamari, Zacharey Smith, Seaonta Stewart

I don’t know how valid this is, just remember you asking the question and it feels right.

Ok since I’m incapable of not thinking about worst case scenarios, what happens if we lose to PSU (I know, just win baby) and end up 11-1? For a spot in Indy, possible 1 loss teams, we have the tiebreaker covered against Iowa and Oregon. I believe we have the tiebreaker covered against USC with record against common opponents being 5-0 to their 4-1. Assuming the Iowa/Oregon/USC round robin about to happen ends with all three taking another L, The one scenario I can’t quite work out is if Michigan beats OSU and it’s us and those 2 with 1 loss. UM obviously has the tiebreaker against OSU, and I think OSU would have the tiebreaker against us with record against common opponents. With Michigan, we both have 1 loss and would be 4-0 against common opponents. I think it would come down to their win over OSU vs our win vs Oregon. Everyone still with me here? Cool. So, what if Oregon is also at 1 loss? My brain breaks at this point. It could come down to who is our 2nd best win vs. Michigan’s 2nd best. But also as I type this I’m realizing Oregon would also have the tiebreaker over Michigan by common opponent record and their win over USC. So that 4 way tie of 1 loss teams, I don’t know, does that come down the conference winning percentage of all opponents? Sheesh.

Disclaimer: high likelihood I have something wrong here.

I think I plugged in your whole scenario correctly here. This is my favorite basketball website and they have football now.

Ah, nice. Didn’t realize they did football as well. The other scenario I was curious about out is if Oregon also ends with 1 loss. Unfortunately we are out in that one too. Though both of these are extremely unlikely scenarios.
