Overall, our fans want to love the bball program and will do their best to — in my view they only flip when things are obviously going very bad.  The fishbowl narrative is nonsense.

I like the fit with CDD here and I think he will get a fair shot to succeed.  Fingers crossed we got our guy for the long run.

Yep we will look for reasons to love our bball program.  It’s a very toxic relationship in a lot of ways. lol. 
 

That being said I know I have always had the negative tag attached to me. But from my point of view this is the first hire serious about winning since Knight.  Sampson would count but because his past he was always going to get run out of town at the first sign of scandal it was always a gamble

I’m viewed VERY negative here and I get it, this is where I like to post my concerns and discuss indepth topics and optics.

However in “real life” I’m a positive fan always hoping for the best.

I go to a few games every year from Fort Wayne.

I do, deeply want us to be good and respected.

Before we made the investments and would not get enough in the gray, I knew we’d never amount to much.

NIL, and our supposed embracement in it, gave me new life in believing we can be a top 10 program again.

Hopefully those goals can be achieved some day.

It’s like he studied the Archie era for what not to do. It’s low hanging fruit but I’m glad to see it.

I’m happy with both our new coaches.  Like ice cream and brownie happy!  Yes, I still consider Cig new cuz I’m still pinching myself from last year.

I met Coach DD at the football game on Saturday. I’m so much more confident in him than I could ever be with Woodson. Darian is the right guy for the job, he has my full support along with the rest of the staff.

His mention of the importance of the fan base and playing a style of basketball that people want to watch was great to hear. He's all in on Indiana, within our interaction dozens of people were lining up to meet him.

Man so glad we got this guy.  The possibility of being a real program is right there for the taking.  A great coach a football powerhouse boosting the reach of the university.

Think it's past "possibility."  The eyeball test, just like football, tells a very compelling story.  Indiana's good.  They need the weight room and more size, but movement and shooters win at every level of basketball.

The test comes this offseason.  Will the donors help us win some of the recruiting battles. That’s the key

Assuming he’s a lifer and not a MCDC bandwagoner, mad respect. That hasn’t been an easy life to live. And that’s coming from a Bears fan.
