This doesn't bode well for Brownell in the future when Clemson has to play an NC State team coached by Wade and will have a lot more talent than McNeese.

I could be wrong, but I genuinely believe the "mystery candidate" was just DeVries all along. He was the best kept secret of this entire coaching search until it very suddenly became evident he was the guy. Because of the way everyone had been fooled by the Brownell and McCollum smoke, reporters were hesitant to assume DeVries was for sure Dolson's pick and assumed that there was still some other candidate out there that no one knew about. Pretty funny if you ask me. Hell of a job by Dolson and TurnkeyZRG.

thankfully we no longer have to worry about that.  the more i dig in, the more i really like the DeVries hire!
