I mean he wasn’t the first choice, likely not Top 3.

Im guessing wade or beard were not offered.  Seems like they would have jumped at the chance

OMG this is the best video ever! Unless it was all tongue in cheek, and then? Well played.

What will this guy post when WVU hires McCollum , who is not “a Mountaineer” and leaves Drake for a better opportunity and more money?

HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAlololol

WVU is going to hire Calhoun IMO, just sayin lol

I could have sworn someone posted that IU was at $17m total NIL Budget which would’ve been top 5 if the teams in the NCAA tournament.

Yea, I caught that too, though $17M is IUBB's operating budget, basically all the expenses except the players.

Yet another advantage at IU -- lots of money for assistants, recruiting travel, etc.

Is it possible we hire a GM? If so, if imagine that gets announced soon.

In these searches when does assistants and support staff usually get announced? Also what players does anyone want back next year. I’d be curious if Rice would succeed in a DeVries type of offense. Obviously he didn’t in a Woodson style of offense.

Yes but he goes onto say "oftentimes the names at the top of these lists even for bluebood kind of schools, aren't actually realistic"

Yeah.  Does he mean Dolson choices or the fans

I’m gonna say this once and then drop it: Which poster vouches for someone truly matters.

Did Hovadipo, Uspshoosier, Old Fart, Dalton, Stromboli, Fort Wayne Hoosier, Crimson and Cream, LiHoosier, or Demo vouch? To me that would be truly meaningful.

For instance, I post a lot, but during the entire coaching season, there was one poster who I thought had credible inside info that I stuck my neck out for… @westgym.

There are others that have access; many of them are wonderful posters and really good people, but when a mod endorses inside information, that is a rare and pretty ******* notable occasion.

And now I’m done with this topic.

Yeah, I don't remember who it was... but I get what you're saying... good enough for me... moving on.

Guess which 3 words totally p*ss me off in this statement and the kid was here long enough to know better!

The difference?

Anthony Leal wrote his own damn going away letter, and it was from the heart.

Malik is a nice enough kid, but it’s pretty likely that his agent wrote that for him and let it fly.

IU's fifth choice....did i hear that right?

I think 3-4 of those were unrealistic, and we all know who those names are. I don't think Dolson had a specific target in mind leading to the Woodson decision, rather he realized (like everyone else) Woodson simply wasn't going to be viable moving forward. DeVries isn't going to have many people picking IU to contend right away, but with his son coming with him he's a few transfers away from being able to build something. I wouldn't say I'm excited, but I'm certainly not angry.

I might be in the minority but I think we will have a top 15ish team next year. WVU was close to making it last year. If Goode gets another year and you add a solid core from the WVU team… Then add 3-4 more players in the portal I think we could have a top 3ish Big Ten team and top 15ish team. Gotta have some things go our way but I truly believe we can have a team that’s a top 5 seed team next year if the bounces go the right way in the portal.

Just noting that $7M NIL + rev share isn’t good.  I hope it’s much higher and I think it will be.

I guess it depends on how much of their revenue share other schools are committing to men's basketball. IU's NIL was already very high. Revenue sharing is capped at $20.5M with a large chunk going to football and some of it needs to go to women's sports. I agree that about $2M of revenue share seems low, but we'll need to see how much it ends up being and how that compares to other schools.

That said, I think that $7M would already have them up there just like they were with NIL.

Edit: Old Farts post make sense that it's $7 in just NIL then more after rev share. I read it the same way you did.
