I totally get why some are not happy with this hire. Jury will be out on him, but he has a history of turning around programs and doing well. Combine a very solid college basketball coach with IU resources, I think this could be a home run of a hire. 
 

Like I said, jury is out but it’s that way with a lot of coaches. I didn’t like the Archie or Woody hire, but I really like this one.

I think it’s obvious there are one or two donors with a boner for Brad. They can’t keep their mouth shut and have very little basketball sense. It’s kind of hilarious everything from the Stevens side is that he’s never even seriously considered leaving for IU but these donors want you to believe they almost had him….this close. lol…

I think a few need to take a deep breath….he inherited a trash program, worked the portal and had them in the same spot Woody had IU with way more resources and 3 more years to “build” a program….he brings his son who is an excellent player, get Goode back, Zrno….Sisley, hit the portal and we could be a darn good team next year…it’s not Stevens but I feel like this could be a very, very good pick for coach!

No, Purdue and Illinois haven’t won crap.  But neither has IU at a level far worse than them.  Spend the amount of time and money some of us have, then and only then can you tell us how to fan.

Who cares.  Underwood had 2 of the worse seasons historically at Illinois in his first 3 years and Purdue lost to a 16, 15, 14, 12 seeds in the tourney. Probably more offer which double seed painter needs to fill in the infinity gauntlet.   I’m in a group chat with Purdue fans and they said can’t believe IU actually hired a quality coach.  End of the day who gives a crap what anyone else thinks.  Ask Iowa fans what they think of the hire
