What an amazing, incredible, inspiring year for these Hoosiers.

And what an incredible future this football program has going forward.

What a wonderful season and one where nothing can be taken from them. Annihilating 11 out of your 13 opponents is incredibly impressive and quite the feat for any team any given year. To have that occur in a coach’s first year with a whole new roster at Indiana University of all places makes it all the more sweeter. This program has life now because of this team. Go IU!

Fun season. 

Probably won't sniff the CFP again anytime soon, which is why I wish the playoff didn't swallow up all the good bowls. Just let it stand on its own -- or maybe just have the semifinals be bowls, and let them rotate. 

For those schools that don't get in, a trip to the Orange, Sugar, Fiesta or Rose bowl would be a nice consolation prize. But after the CFP, all that's left are Citrus, ReliaQuest, Music City, Pop-Tart, etc. I suppose after sucking for so long, any bowl is nice, but the aforementioned games just aren't all that inspiring.

I loved this season, I love our coach and our players. I never thought we recovered completely from Evans injury and I never thought Kurtis was quite the same after the thumb injury, but what a run! Thanks to all the IU football players and coaches for all the hard work and a great season!

By far the best season of my life and I’m 40!. Every game where IU had similar talent, they dominated. I still believe Coach Cig is the real deal. Get him 4-5 stars and the sky’s the limit.

Why won’t we sniff the CFP?  No self imposed limitations my friend.  
 

What this season showed is thru coaching and scheme we can compete in the Big.  What we need to add are big dogs.  Upgrade the talent and athleticism and we can be on par with the OSUs, PSUs and Oregons.

Time will tell if we remain in the CFP conversation in years to come, but I'm confident we're no longer a guaranteed win on anyone's schedule, and that we'll always be in bowl games.

They will most likely expand it to 16 . We’ll have our chances just need to invest into getting better athletes.

Once Coach Cignetti was picked, my expectations jumped. Then finding out about his winning and demanding no limitations..plus my friend, a coach, concurred..Coach Cig is a winner. His impact is going to be huge... I stretched my preseason guess to 8 wins and a bowl invite. 11 wins and in the hunt for the championship! The Bucket, rhe post season, top 5 rating, BCS..wow. we'll done team! Thank you. (And thanks to this excellent fan forum and the mods and posters.)

Very encouraging press conference from Coach Cig.   Made it quite clear that ND had bigger and faster recruits. Coach is being real with himself and that’s great to hear.  We need to step up in getting a few players that can match up.

Agreed, there will be a big push towards 16 teams once the CFP is over

The floor for IU football with Cig at the helm is really high.

Hemby visiting today.  Would be a big get.  Hope we are able to get a couple of OL.  I know they are looking for a QB -- I'm fine even if it's just a guy who is ready to compete for QB1 with Jackson.

Frustrating thing is McCully was exactly that at WR. Wish we would have played him and figured it out. Sarratt is solid and has great hands normally but he can’t do what McCully can do.

Follow up.

This season was all sorts of amazing. The Team played above their potential and made us proud. Last night clearly wasn’t what we wanted but the season incredible nonetheless.

This was the best football season of my life. Even if IU becomes consistently good/great this season will still remain very special to me. Such an amazing turn around. Taking a consistent loser (that knows they're a loser) and turning them into a winner over night. And making them believe. All the coach of the year awards and the raises are well earned  because it was a truly amazing feat. I look forward to next season for one of the few times in my life.

Hemby would be a major step to increase athleticism. Pribula would be a step forward too.
