I can only imagine that Ohio State's main objective is to try to pressure Rourke from the get go for as long as they possibly can. Not only that, I also think they will want to try to prove to everyone that we are NOT as good a team that people are labeling us.

All I am going to say is IU will be ready for the challenge,....GO IU!

Can’t believe I’m typing this, but season ticket holders can get on their account and claim their seats for a CFP round 1 game until November 27th.

Let's Go!! Who else signed up for CFP tickets last night? This is crazy. I feel like I'm dreaming and if I am please don't wake me up.

Is there any way to get in on this for non season ticket holders?

If you have bought any tickets this season you should have received an email about how to apply. If not I would contact the IU ticket office you can put in for tickets, but they are going by the priority points system. Tickets are $100-$500 depending on where you want to sit. They are taking orders right now, but won't let you know who has gotten tickets till later on, once we know who gets a home game.

I hope OSU is looking ahead to their next game against Michigan the following week.

Every defense wants to pressure every quarterback.

I’m assuming that based on Michigan’s success, that Ohio State will couple heavy quarterback pressure with press man coverage at the line of scrimmage.

Basically, daring IU to generate a big play while they gamble that the pressure will create a defensive big play.

That's also OSU's base defense, Cov 1, so absolutely.

Hopefully the antidote is some effective RPOs by Rourke that loosen the man coverage at the line by flinching defenders towards the run.

These are the type of dynamics that make it super-helpful for the staff to have an extra week to prepare us.

And hopefully, Sarratt, Cooper, and ball location win out.

We HAVE to be able to run the football.... we have to continue to find inventive ways to attack the flats.

If you break the coverage a few times, the DL will loosen up and we'll be able to run. Against Michigan we were on our heels for so much of the game due to some dropped passes and 2 deep red zone penalties. It turned uphill after that instead of running and throwing downhill. Early success and keeping their defense on their heels would be our key to competitiveness IMO.

Receivers that block extremely well +Justice Ellison's playmaking ability + a cover 1 defense can equal some big running plays. It can also lead to some 2nd and 12 stacked up running plays.

Now that we're actually good at football and have big games in November (and beyond!) to discuss, does anyone else find themselves looking at certain basketball schools with godawful football teams and fans who are now hyper-focused on basketball and think to themselves, "what a bunch of dorks"?

Satrapy can’t have the drops he had v UM. Those were drive killers and momentum killers

Got 8 million reasons this morning why a good cup of joe is the best part of waking up. Pricey, but worth it to the last drop.

What is your coffee?  Do you grind? Pour over? Taste notes? Single source?  Blend? Just the facts...  I keep switching roasters.

All coffee is good coffee when Coach Cigs is at the helm lol

I’m a simple man, a Dunkin’ Donuts K cup in the Keurig is fine by me. @Stuhoo and @HoosierHoopster are the resident coffee snobs.
