Hovadipo Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 We haven’t had a postgame win expectancy below 99.3% this season. Only Army edges us out with a lowest of 99.6%, (and no one else outside of Navy is particularly close) BUT we have 4 games with a 100% win expectancy to Army’s 3. Quote

TTT Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 IU is blessed to have T. Jackson as a QB. First and or the biggest situation facing the football team this year. I think T. Jackson and teammates will pass this test with flying colors. Jackson will be a pleasant surprise that in reality won’t be a surprise at all …Jackson was excellent at Center Grove High School a 4 star per ESPN and had offers from most major power 5 programs including some blue chip schools. Plus IU has really good well coached players on the whole team. IU is a really good team. Plus…Both, Jackson brothers are really good people. MemphisHoosier and Joe_hoopsier 2 Quote

Magnanimous Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Washington, @MSU, Michigan, then bye week before OSU. I think we would still be favored the next three games if this injury is prolonged. Home Jersey 1 Quote

DChoosier Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 We are very lucky to have a backup that was capable enough to lead the team to 28 second half points. It was GREAT to see that the staff trusts Jackson enough to have him come out passing rather than having him just hand-off the ball to protect the lead. That being said if the Washington game gets really tight we will miss KR’s experience, the fact that he is seemingly unflappable and his near-perfect decision making. Not a shot at TJ but just an acknowledgment that KR is extremely experienced/skilled. Home Jersey and thebigweave 2 Quote
rcbowla Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I think Rourke missing game(s) will be a serious problem. I really like TJ and actually thought he was better choice to start the year. However, CR has completely changed my mind and a big part of our offensive success has been his decision making in the RPO game. Can Tayven consistently make the right choices and make them as quickly as Rourke? I sure hope so but I do worry about that. DChoosier, Jeff Flabjohns and cthomas 3 Quote

Hovadipo Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Not worried at all about Tayven. I’m not sure I could possibly have more faith in this staff to set him up for success and frankly I’m not so sure the gameplan would be much different if Rourke was in. Being a quiet week and the best games being at places they've already gone too, I thought they'd go to the Meadowlands for ND/Navy or go to some quirky place they do once a year to look cool. With the game at noon, they have to set up where FOX did yesterday rather than setting up somewhere on campus. Quote

In fact he should've been 8-8 had Coby not dropped the last one. 2) The larger point being that he came into a no pressure situation and was getting tons of help from defense and the run game. I think he's a good QB but I also wonder if he'll be able to run this offense in the same efficient manner that Rourke does when it's 0-0 or if trailing. Quote
