Malik Reneau is returning to IU

Great!!  I got to talk to him and loved his interaction with my grandson.  Seems like a really good person off the court.  I love his game and hopefully he makes a big jump next year.

If he makes as big a jump as he did last season he will be amazing.

Great kid, and a really talented player, that needs to expand the things he can do well.

What difference does it make?  We have to pay someone in order to field a team.   Might as well be Malik and for all you know, he could be less expensive than having to go into the actual portal for his replacement.

Honestly Trish, it's none of your business any more than it's any of our business to know what these kids are getting paid.  Their pay isn't coming from the IU checkbook it's coming from private donors trying to support the program.

I agree.  He would be a top talent in the portal. We already know him and he apparently does not hate playing here.  Does he need to become a smarter defender, absolutely. But he is a solid get and IF Woody blew all his $ on his returning players he won’t have any left for new kids and that will be him.

Reneau is a pretty good player, and has the potential to be really good. Seems like a great kid too. His return to IU is great news.

Lots of opportunities for negativity recently, I don't see why it needs to be in this thread.

Happy for MR. The concern was that we were gonna have a roster full of one year rent-a-players. Glad to see a 3 year guy coming back

Regardless of our disdain for Woodson, this is a good thing! I like Malik! He just needs to learn how to stay on the floor and quit committing all the dumb fouls!
