How many did he offer? The only 1 I know for sure is Braydon Hawthorne and IU was on his list as of 10 days or so ago, though I don’t believe he’s started taking visits yet. Given that he’s a West Virginia kid it’s entirely possible that he’ll do a Sisley and stay home for any coach.

If the anticipation is that those guys are going to be solid defenders and hold down the 4 and 5 spots then I guess I can see 30+ mins each. 

I didn't say that. I thought it was given those two would play 35 mins. They both avg over that. But the low end of those 3 avgs is still 40%. We might have plenty of roster spots, but available mins wise...  a little more than half.

It sure appears Indiana has many spots still open for big minutes while other programs are just looking for back up players with limited minutes. Combined with our NIL, I would think we should start landing some of these better players unless CDD scares the hell out of them.

Guys, you do all realize the way our portal season is playing out is EXACTLY the same as what Louisville, Michigan, and UK went through last year, right? Slow to sign guys, few top portal signees, fans doubting that the new coach had the moxie to win at the highest level...

And we all saw how those situations turned out. Again, chill...

This is the reason why I have stopped posting over the years. Some of you all are insufferable! We could land a top 5 recruiting class and it still wouldn’t be good enough. I think it’s funny that things have been tight lipped with our coaching staff, but yet people seem to know we are missing on almost everyone.

Have a surprise, only ONE team gets that recruit. IU is not as exciting as it once was for recruits. Yes, they may know that we have history, but a quick google search shows how bad we have been for the last 10 years.

It’s okay to be critical, I get it, but some of you probably would complain because he breathes air. If a recent top school goes after the same recruit, guess what, they are gonna have a better chance than us. Coach Devries needs to build a culture from the ground up, and I want him to do it the right way. I would rather him get the foundation set now to set us up for consistent success, not scramble every year. 
 

Coach Cig turned us around in one year through toughness, grit, and a culture reset. Why can’t we give Coach Devries the same chance to do so? Some of you are ridiculous with the constant negativity and coach bashing.

I've announced my commitment to reup my season tickets for this upcoming season.  I can contribute the most to the concession stand Moreso than anything, a few upland drinks, hot dogs and popcorn throughout the season. Wilkerson said he was visiting every team before committing since the dead period.  nothing has changed.  if DeVries decides not to up the amount Wilkerson wants then so be it.  we saw what happened with CMW when handing out money like it was monopoly and that didn't end too well.
