IU was negative recruited hard core during portal season.  All schools had to do was show tape of an offense that didn’t feature shooters and point out the numbers.  Luckily they won’t happen this time around

Is it negative recruiting if it’s the truth? I can’t even be mad at Conwell or McNeely.  
 

A Galloway, Conwell, McNeely backcourt would’ve been fun with a real coach. In fact, it’s the type of roster Coach DD should be building starting this year.

He always was a little concerned about the noise but it was only when IU heavily emphasized Carlyle he said no thanks. Famous coach "Ya" and in southern connections that has produced SO much southern talent the last 3 years .........

I’m an ISU alum that follows the basketball program closely.  From the ISU side of things he wasn’t going to play for Woody,  IU side of things reported it was highly unlikely he was going to IU,  national side of things reported he was coming to IU.   Woody couldn’t even get a Bloomington South grad to commit.  So glad IU doesn’t have to deal with that moving forward

For sure , but my info doesn't come from ISU , IU , or national side of things. Like I said I'm no insider just happen to know a little more in this particular situation randomly. 

But really again you can put two and two together about who pushed so hard for IU to sign guys like Rice and Carlyle over Mid-west/ Indiana connected guys when you look at assistants where they are from then look at where guys Rice and Carlyle are from . It shouldn't be too shocking

Someone explain Enright to me- I know they were together at Drake but a guard that shot 63% FT and 32% from 3 this year, pass for me until proven differently

He avged almost 7 assts a game? He'd be a bench guard and a solid pickup. 

I guess I don't understand looking at a stat line and then deciding to pass or not pass on someone.

Can't think of the last time we had a guard who averaged close to 7 assists a game. Yogi's high was 5.6/game  People get so enamored with scoring numbers (how did that work out with Carlyle and Rice this year?).

If DeVries wants him, that's good enough for me.  He knows him very well, so if he thinks he has a role, he will probably fit it well.

He shot...... 44% in his SO season at Drake. 

Either way... Enright shot 32.5% from 3, MM shot 27% from 3 in conference play. KC shot 24% lol
