The last I saw was that Wilkerson was going to visit here and then commit after the visit. With the two predictions it looked like it was pretty much done. It is concerning that he is going to take other visits. I wonder if IU is being used for our top NIL budget. I wonder if they take our offers and take it to the schools they like better.

Yes, the new push from a sue the NCAA and make them unable to enforce anything is the argument that you are allowed 4 years of Division 1 Eligibliity and the lower divisions do not count.

If we aren't the last, and it doesn't sound like we will be, I'll be concerned. The opposite of that is, if you aren't the first visit, he may not take any more visits.

If you are visit number one, you don't let him take another.  Getting the first visit is an advantage.  But if he leaves, he probably isn't coming here.

Yeah. It’s a change though. Seemed like a commitment was verbalized. I got a few messages thinking it would be announced the next day. Then nothing yet. If he goes on other visits , it’s definitely a change from the original notion. Doesn’t mean we don’t get him. I still mostly think we do, but it could turn into a higher bidding situation, which DeVries seems to be opposed to.

Time will tell very soon it seems.

Betcha Comer is one of them and I’m completely cool with that. I think his mindset fits what CDD is looking for really well.

I was right saying the big fish doesn't leave their current job. I also said that if you can get a power conference coach it would be a guy like Brownell from Clemson which is pretty much Devries from WVU. On the assistant coaches I referred to isn't coming here do I was right on that.

Glad I got excited about Wilkerson. Probably ends up at UK or Auburn.
