Transfer Portal w IU Interest

Recommended Posts

Honestly, I can't blame any of these guys for taking their time. It's a tough decision. You make the wrong choice, you could end up in a situation like Myles Rice. Josh doesn't have any eligibility left, but if he makes the right choice he could have a senior season like Knecht. I don't want this to happen, but kudos to him if he ends up back at Iowa. No way are they offering anywhere close to what the other schools are.

I saw on a podcast that Travis Barnham stated that Bidunga is probably.dowm to two options

1) Auburn

2) return to KU

Those are kinda the vibes I’ve been seeing, which is okay imo. The portal appears to already have several potential rim-protectors in it, and some of them may be somewhat less expensive than Flory might be. Such as the guys from Wake Forest, Clemson, Xavier, as well as others.

While I’ll agree to an extent, we should be able to flex our Nil advantage at some point. We’ve got it, we should make some splashes. If DeVries wanted to Ball on a Budget he shouldn’t have come to IU. He had 3-4 at WV.

My worry is IU is all talk and wants to act like we are going to spend 10. But instead they pull a Cubs and try to win with 5.

Louisville Is the talk of CBB and Kelsey I assure you isn’t scared to back that up. No reason that shouldn’t be Indiana.

I’m old enough to remember when IU was the talk of CBB and the portal. Got us to the second day of the BTT. I want commits, too. But I also want DeVries to put together a team he wants and let’s see what he can do.

But it was also Woodson. And even then the basketball people doubted him. Get a good basketball coach legit talent with a united purpose and that’s how you get to the top.

DeVries literally chose Indiana because it gives him resources he didn’t have at WV. You utilize that. But with guys that want to win.

I wonder if he has to be more cautious in year 1 since he has an entire roster to build. We have to overpay to get guys since we don’t have a clear vision of who we are or how we will really play. Then you have to balance getting mercenaries vs a team.

I am becoming more convinced we as fans are going to have to grind and be less insistent on a super quick turnaround.

The last thing I’m worried about is the players the coaching staff decides to bring in and actually land.  Regardless of the players they bring in they will actually be a part of an actual college basketball program with a plan

I agree, but curiousity is getting the best of me in terms of what players I'll be rooting for next year.

Bottom line, I am looking forward to a group I can root for.  The last couple of years have been painful knowing I was rooting for the IU brand but not the players and coaches that were on the court.
